If you are looking for the ultimate beach vacation home, then this is it! This spectacular 5 bedroom, 5.5 bath 4,000 square foot home has its own private pool, is just steps from the beach (100 yards), and is located in the gated beachfront community of Old Florida Beach. This home offers tremendous Gulf of Mexico views from the main living area on the 2nd floor and from the master bedroom and den on the 3rd floor. Each bedroom has its own private bath. Two king and two queen bedrooms plus a bedroom with two twin beds sleep ten with ease. There is also a queen sofa sleeper in the 3rd floor den area along with a loft in the master bedroom that offers a twin trundle bed. Wireless high speed internet lets you stay connected anywhere in the house. Walk two blocks to Goatfeathers Restaurant for happy hour and the Early Bird specials, or to pick up fresh seafood from the market to cook in the gourmet kitchen. Access to the beach is via the community walkover just a few houses down Old Beach Road. The traffic in the neighborhood is light, enabling families to stroll and ride bikes at leisure. Watch the sunset from the roof top widows' walk or meet your neighbors at the walkover for cocktails (and snacks if there is a full moon!). Life is good in Old Florida Beach.

GREAT Old Fla. Beach Home!

Little bumpy start to our vacation with the icemaker upstairs working for a few hours, then we had to turn off because it was spewing water. Again, first day, went grocery shopping, and refrigerator in kitchen stopped working all together. Then, couple days later, found live Palmetto bugs. However, John the maintenance man and Ginny the owner, were VERY responsive and all was taken care of right away. Can't ask for anything better than that!

The porch views were out of this world! From the Master Bedroom you can see the Gulf waters AND beach! Lovely places to relax in the evening. Wish the front porch entrance bushes were cut down to where you could see out to the street, but that might just be a personal preference.

Everyone thought their beds were SOOO comfortable. I don't think I've ever been in a bed more comfortable (stayed in the Master Bedroom.) I even wrote down the brand.

The rooms are good size and amenities were all there for running a household, like dishwashing detergent and even personal items like shampoo. It was nice having the garage to put our sandy beach items in after a day at the beach and/or pool. By the way, we've been to Old Fla. Beach many times over 20 yrs. and the new pool is just perfect! We had to spend a lot of time there with the grandkids as the weather was the thing that didn't want to cooperate. The splash pool at the house was a nice place to gather too and a bonus. The coastal dune lake, Draper Lake has always been a draw to us for this beach. You can swim in the ocean, the pool, or splash around in the shallow calm lake. The walkover to the beach is only a few houses away.

We definitely would stay at Sea Section again!

Home away from

Past location have not lived up to what was advertised. Sea Section was everything it said it was and more. Our family stayed there for a week. The family consisted of four couple three teenagers and three grand children House had plenty of room. The owner was truly concern that we had a great stay. We quickly fell in love with the house and before left we are planning our next stay. The house is simply amazing

Our family absolutely loved our time at Sea Section; the house itself is impeccably built and decorated, and the view from all of the porches and widow's walk are phenomenal. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Beautiful Beach Home for Large Group!

This is an amazing beach home and was perfect for us to spend a lovely week with our children and grandchildren. We had 3 families, so the layout was just right for us, with the different levels providing plenty of privacy (the 3 bedrooms on the first floor, the 2 large bedrooms and den on the 3rd floor) and plenty of common living space with comfortable couches and chairs. The many levels did make for lots of steps- good exercise for all. The 5 different porches were our favorite places, along with the awesome crow’s nest with the best view around. The beautiful website photos and description are very accurate. The home is very well-appointed in all aspects, and the Old Florida Beach community is lovely and convenient.The home's private pool was just a great place for us all to enjoy time together, as well as private swims! The beach, the water, and the shallow pool of Draper’s Lake were simply wonderful for us all to enjoy the week. I can’t say enough about the responsiveness of the owner. There were a few internet issues during the stay due to a storm, and she immediately contacted the provider who sent a technician to remedy the problem. From start to finish, Ginny was great to work with! I highly recommend this home to others!

Perfect!

We love staying at Sea Section; it perfectly accommodates our large family! The home is just a short walk to the beautiful beach and Draper Lake.

We really enjoy grilling in the backyard while the kids swim in the private pool; such an added bonus for this home!!! The new refrigerator worked great and the Internet worked fine, as well. My husband had to work online all week while the kids played on their IPads and there was no issue for us.

The owners are so nice and are very responsive. We look forward to staying at Sea Section, again!!

Beautiful house with a few problems

Overall, it’s a beautiful house with some minor problems.

First the Bad:

The refrigerator is nice and large, but it is old and I had to unplug it twice and leave it unplugged for around 30 minutes each time to reset it. We followed the instructions not to put too much in it at first, but it still failed. The owner did return my calls and we received a replacement one to put downstairs. The internet speed was fine when we went in 2015. But this year I believe either the router or the modem is on its last legs. I would reset it and it would work beautifully for about 15 minutes, (10-25Mbits/sec) then it would fall back to less than 1Mbit/sec which was basically unusable. So the problem was not the ISP. The pool area needs at lot of work. First, the pool was listed as heated. It is not. The heater is broken and last year we received a $200.00 credit. This year we did not. All of the vegetation is tremendously overgrown. No grill to speak of; just a portable round beat up one in the garage that doesn’t look like it has been used in a decade. Speaking of vegetation, one of the Palm tree branches outside was hitting the window in the den so hard it was going to break it. I used the clipping shears from the garage to trim it. Also, every other trash area for the other houses had a small opening to put the large garbage containers in it. In this house you had to pick up the containers and lift them over the gate. Tip: do this before you fill them up…:))

Now the Good:

The house itself is beautiful and has plenty of open space The beds, bathrooms and showers were all in excellent condition. The kitchen is very spacious and has everything you will need for cooking. The microwave and coffee maker are a bit outdated but work. This was important to us since I like to cook; and we save money this way. A small toaster oven would be a nice touch.

Great location, beach area is absolutely beautiful.

We would definitely consider renting this house again if the refrigerator is replaced and the internet problem was fixed, the pool heater replaced and a nice grill is available. I think, however we may bring our Golden Retriever with us next year so we will have to search for a house that allows this.

Owner's Response: We are always concerned when issues arise for our guests, especially ones who have rented from us in the past. In response to the refrigerator issues encountered, we installed a new refrigerator in the kitchen in late April. Our pool has not been advertised as heated for the past year, as we made a decision in 2015 not to replace a heater than failed after only two years. All efforts are made to maintain the grounds of the house, and we plan several visits over the course of the rental season to trim the pool area as well as the front vegetation. We have a responsive management team on site and we are always personally available to deal with any problems that may arise as well. We love our Florida home and are delighted to share it until we decide to move there permanently ourselves.
