Sandy Sea Inn Too
2819 Forrest St., Westport, WA, 98595
Keywords: Cabin, Ocean, Finnish Sauna, Jacuzzi Tub
I am a Commercial Fisherman of Norwegian descent, raised in Seattle (Ballard), spent years fishing in Kodiak, Alaska and finally landed in Westport, Washington. Some years I winter here in Westport, and others I search out a warmer climate.
20 years ago I brought a large King Crab Vessel to Westport for renovation and maintenance, fell in love with this small coastal town and life happened. I bought the Sandy Sea Inns and developed them to be top notch vacation rental cabins.
The Sandy Sea Inn Too is located 1/4 mile from the beach and is the perfect getaway cabin where I can just relax in the Finnish Sauna or Jacuzzi Tub without a care in the world. Westport for me is a place I come to in the winter to rejuvenate my weary bones. A place where time goes slow, where wind blows, moss grows on local cars unnoticed and stress becomes unknown. I enjoy the local watering holes (Monday Tacos at The Local in Grayland, The Mermaid Deli in Westport, or the Pine Tree' & Knotty Pine. The tasting room at Cranbery Road Winery just walk across the street. There are great seafood markets or buy off the boats to throw on the BBQ that awaits you. Bradys Oysters is just minutes away.
The Sandy Sea Inn Too is in a great location with excellent management. You will enjoy it here
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We couldn't believe all the "extras" - nobody does that, and it was another plus for this cozy cabin. We will recommend your place to our friends. Thank you for making us feel very welcome and even asking us "Is there anything else you need?". We left feeling very taken care of. Thank you! - Whidbey Island, WA
It was just what we were looking for. We would definitely stay there again:)
Amee was very accommodating I would give her ten stars!
Amee was nice, and the place was clean...however it was pretty run down and certainly in need of repairs.
**The kitchen light would not turn on, one time we got it to flicker on with the switch, but then it would go out and if the switch was left on, it would randomly come on - this is an electrical issue of concern.
**The toaster oven, the only oven in the house - would not turn on and the knob itself was sitting on the shelf next to it.
**When we turned on the fan over the stove top, it made the TV flicker, another concern for electric.
**The dryer knob to push "on" was GONE and an arrow in black marker pointed to "push here" and in order to use the dryer, which was a little scary, I had to use the nozzle head of a plastic spray bottle, to put in the hole where the knob should have been and feel around trying to find the actual trigger to turn it on...again, a little scary, not sure if I was risking shock, but my clothes were wet and so I tried it once...finally getting it on...but with the other electrical issues we stayed to make sure nothing happened while the dryer was running.
**The back area near the washer dryer and small bedroom had black plastic across over head as if there was construction going on, but no warning about this prior to booking.
**Also, the futon couch thing...was very uncomfortable and your legs, knee to hips, were in a "V" when sitting down and it was very hard so my mother had trouble sitting comfortably.
**I had my parents with me, hoping to give them comfort away from home and though they agreed they had a comfortable bed...but with all the other concerns they would not want to stay there again, nor would I.
**Outside, it was fenced but in disarray...with an unstable deck and holes here and there that were big enough that we were concerned for my little 6 lb dog. AND I was forced to keep my 4 year old out by the front stairs on the concrete any time he wanted to go outside and play. There was a big green grassy area outside of the fenced area in the center of the driveway, but how can I let my child or dog play in the grass with cars coming and going and no fence...
**TV over the tub was nicer and larger than the one out in the family room, where a family would actually need to sit to watch a show together...
I would not recommend this place to anyone, they really need to get it repaired and put some focus on safety before renting it out again. It was not really family friendly in my opinion.
ANOTHER WONDERFUL stay and the Sandy Sea Inn Too March 24th – 26th. My husband and I have stayed numerous times in this cabin, or the one next door. Our first stay was February 2010 and it is our go to place multiple times a year. Amee, the Manager, is a DELIGHT to work with! She takes amazing care of the cabins. Always very clean, plenty of towels, great kitchen utensils, comfortable bed- and of course the GREAT Sauna and Jacuzzi Tub! Amee even messaged me 2 days prior to our arrival letting me know since no one stayed the day before, we could check in early! Now that is Service! This is a great place for couples, families, or friends. We always take our 2 little dogs with us and I think they see this as their home away from home also! We run the dogs on the beach, have a great meal in town- or cook/bar b que, at the cabin. We ate breakfast one morning at the Hearty Galley Restaurant in Westport. Most people know this place as a “Hamburger” joint, but they have Wonderful BREAKFAST and Amazing Pancakes! Dinner one night at San Verbena out in Tokeland (shoalwater bay) – GREAT fish and chips. HIGHLY recommend this cabin for anyone who loves the beach and wants to escape, enjoy a sauna, create wonderful memories, and relax! Warm Regards, Cindy and Steve
This is centrally located within walking distance to beach, driving distance to town, to westport winery, and to lighthouse.
It's a very private cabin, very cute with nautical theme. There is no dining table but they have a little breakfast bar and tv trays that can be used. The jetted tub is nice, and sauna too. They have robes, slippers, lots of towels, shampoo, etc very well stocked. The kitchen has just about everything you need, they have a toaster oven as no oven and a well stocked Keurig for coffee, and even a washer and dryer. We really loved this place for our romantic getaway!
We had a very relaxing 3 night stay. The jacuzzi tub & sauna were the best! The cabin had everything we needed (towels, dishes, pots & pans). There was plenty of coffee too! We took multiple daily walks to the beach, which is just a short 5 minute walk away. We shopped at the local Shop 'n Kart for groceries. We ate out for dinner each night. Great fish and chips at Bennett's Fish Shack. Yummy beer and pizza at Blackbeard's Brewing Co. We watched the surfers take on some pretty decent waves next to the South Jetty. The weather was typical for February, but the cabin made our stay perfect!
surfing, beach combing 18 Miles of beach, driving access to beach, clam digging, kite flying, and a quaint Marina District with shopping and public boat launches.
