Snowmobile enthusiasts will appreciate the direct access to trail #1. In 2015 we expanded and widened our nice long driveway to fit snowmobile trailers and boat trailers with a T-shape. Need more room for parking trucks and large trailers? We have additional parking nearby, inquire on availability. Call our office for details on accommodations for larger groups with our rental next door, Mallard Cove VRBO #570602. About Arlene Schneller
This is our second vacation rental home that we built on Lake Gogebic next to our other lake rental Mallard Cove VRBO#570602. We take great pride in well-managed properties that guests with family and friends enjoy year after year by returning as repeat guests. We believe in comfort, upkeep, cleanliness and most important, happy guests! We travel and stay in other VRBO rentals and have been in the vacation rental business for many years, we know what we like and what our guests expect.
Arlene Schneller purchased this Cottage in 1995
Why Arlene Schneller chose Marenisco
This property became available right next door to our other rental, Mallard Cove VRBO #570602. People have rented both units at the same time for reunions and weddings, it's ideal for vacationing families, fishermen, hunters and snowmobilers, being on trail #1.
What makes this Cottage unique
Lake Gogebic is the largest lake in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. We like the relaxed feeling, the lake is so big that it's impossible to feel busy or crowded. We love watching wildlife, deer, eagles and loons. Lots of amazing outdoor recreation with one million acres of Ottawa National Forest, the Porkies and spectacular waterfalls. It's centrally located to all the places we enjoy. A nice floor plan and the waterfront deck views are nice too.

Clean and roomy. Nice being on the water. Also nice that we could open windows for a cross breeze.
Teal Wing was a clean, well kept waterfront cabin with room enough for the 7 of us. We put our kayak in the lake and paddled around. The kids enjoyed being able to play on shore, too. There were lawn chairs for sitting out on the deck or taking down on the doc or yard. We were warned about the mosquitoes, so had plenty of bug spray. Because the lower level was a bit damp and chilly at night, the electric wall heaters took care of that nicely.
we enjoyed the property very much. Clean and comfortable
We had great weather and enjoyed our stay very much. the property was clean and comfortable for our family.
Great place, very well equipped
We had a family vacation and enjoyed this cottage. conveniently located to many attractions and VERY well equipped from toiletries and paper products to roasting forks. Very quiet. Would highly recommend.
Perfect for our family vacation
We came to Lake Gogebic for fishing and relaxation and we had both. The State dock was very close and we used that to launch our boat, but having the dock close to the house was very convenient for my family to stop for lunch/snacks/supper. WiFi worked great and excellent cell service at the house. The house was spacious, comfortable and clean. I can't say enough great things about the week we spent here.
Great Family Place to Share
This is our second visit and just as great as the first. Great place for a family to hang out and enjoy cabin life.
We stayed at Teal Wing with a group of 8 and it was very accomodating with everything we needed. Great access to the snowmobile trails. we had plenty of room and nobody felt crowded. Plenty of room to park our trailers and trucks.
