Quiet Steps Away from Champs Elysees A/C

We found this apartment clean and exactly as advertised. The space is small but has everything you need for a few days in Paris. The location is fantastic, the building is beautiful and safe, and the apartment is quiet at night even though it is in the center of the city. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!

Overall, this was a positive experience for my wife and I during a four day stay in Paris. Olivier was a very cordial and responsive host. The apartment is compact but is comfortable,clean, and orderly and has what you need for a brief visit. The only reason for the four star rating is the bathroom had a fairly strong sour/musty smell. We initially thought it might be the cleaning mop, which was well used. Olivier had the cleaning assistant remove it and do a quick toilet clean, which helped a bit but did not eliminate the odor.

We enjoyed being close to many attractions. There are several nice cafes and restaurants very close and a small market at the corner. We felt very safe in the area, even during the evening hours. It is very easy to call an Uber for a pickup just outside the courtyard door.

Notes say to be quiet, but the neighbors bang around in the middle of the night so it's difficult to sleep. Mish mash of service ware for food and drink. Good location. Felt secure. Told we could get early check in, paid for, but was not the case. We had to finish the laundry for the clean towels and sheets left over from previous renters. First two days had cold water, but was fixed after notifying, had to wait a few hours.

The reviews on-line have very much captured the essence of this lovely flat in Paris. The location is near everything and there are lots of places near by. The check-in was straight forward and Olivier met us as planned. The walk through the courtyard is private and the area is very safe. Bakery, grocery, restaurants are all nearby. Close to Metro stops and very convenient to get around Paris. The flat is as described and the pictures are very accurate. The bed is comfortable and the flat has enough room to move around. Internet performance is very good, although it was out for an entire evening while we were there. The window view is a look out across the roof tops of Paris, and although you can see the Eifel Tower, it is a bit of a stretch to see. The kitchen us just right and there are plenty of plates and silverware, however we would recommend washing them before using, as we found the glasses to be a little dirty and the plates needed a washing, but that's standard procedure for us. The biggest challenge is the bathroom as it is very small. A wash/dryer machine has been "crammed" into it which results in very uncomfortable sitting at the toilet. It's okay, but just a little awkward. You're "cheeks" will likely touch the wall when seated. Our biggest disappointment was the hot water (which is mentioned in other reviews). The hot water tank is just 20 liters, and the water is not very hot … just warm. We asked Oliver if it were possible to check it and adjust it up, and his response was, " the maid just checked the hot water and is at usual temperature". So we lived with just warm showers and made sure to make them as short as possible. But our stay was good and Oliver did a good job of informing us of building issues, which required that they visit the flat while we were staying there. We cleaned up after our visit as prescribed in the check-in sheet and our deposit was returned within a week. All-in-all a good place, with lots of conveniences but just a little cramped in the bathroom and we would have liked the water to be hotter for new hot showers in the morning.

My fiancee and I spent 4 days in Paris before a cruise out of Barcelona. Our goal was art museums and the most famous painters. We easily walked to the four we wanted to see from this great location. The apartment was clean, the access was easy, had every utensil we needed to prepare our meals, the bed comfy. It was perfect for us including a great view of Paris rooftops and even the Eiffel Tower at night. Yes, we would go back and recommend.
