PARADISE on Long Lake

  • 5 of 5

For the past Four years the Wife & our Two Dogs pack-up & head North for a lil RnR & to celebrate our Anniversary . We've used HomeAway to stay at other Lakeside homes in NH & ME . As soon as we pulled up to The Boathouse we knew we had struck Gold . It far exceeded our expectations . As described in the name , the house is ON the Lake .. open the back french doors walk a few feet , & dive into beautiful Long Lake . The Town of Bridgton has plenty to do i.e. Movie theater - a Drive-in , shops & restaurants ... I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this to anyone ... & I know for sure we will be back .The homeowner Leslie was a most gracious & pleasant host .

Idyllic stay

  • 5 of 5

We couldn't have been more pleased with this historic restored boathouse. The peaceful lake is located just off the deck which wraps around the house on three sides. The furnishings are of high quality; the kitchen provides all the equipment you need for a family, and there is a grill outside, a hammock, and many deck chairs for sitting and visiting or watching the calm lake. The captains beds in the upstairs bedrooms are very comfortable, and we heard the loons every evening, and saw them up close each morning in the lake. We felt lucky to stay in this charming, beautiful home, and would return again. Highly recommended.

Loved the boathouse just as much if not more the 2nd time!

Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation with family friends! We really appreciated your quick to response to questions before we arrived and your attention to special details for our visit. I really hope we can come back again! Special touches were the baby ducks that swam by every morning and the Loon songs at night. Can't say enough about how much we loved our stay but we want to make sure there will be a spot for us to return!

Breathtaking view, beautiful home!

  • 5 of 5

You can not get any closer to the water if you tried! We love the Boathouse on Long Lake and we rent it year after year! The rooms are nicely decorated. The expansive windows make you feel like you are on the water. It is a very relaxing vacation. We rent a pontoon boat and go out every evening for a sunset cruise. Just amazing! I would highly recommend this home to anyone. The pictures are accurate but do not even begin to show the beauty of this home! All ready booked for next year!!!

Incredible place

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the boathouse 2/14-2/18 during the Sebago/Cumberland County ice fishing derby. There was a major snowstorm predicted for the day of our arrival and Laura graciously contacted us to say we could come a day early if it was safer to travel, which we did. We arrived to find the boathouse was not just what you see in the pictures but so much more. The house was clean and beautifully decorated. Laura and Leslie were warm and inviting hosts, they made us feel like we belonged there. We had our friends and family up to fish with us and we had an amazing time. We spent a lot of time at the outdoor fire pit and just enjoyed everything a Maine winter stay has to offer. We left the boathouse with a peace in our hearts that will keep us going til our next vaca. If you are considering renting here, you will not be disappointed. We can't we to return.

If you enjoy the water, and would like to stay in comfortable lodging right on the lake surrounded by natural beauty, then the Boathouse on Long Lake is the place for you! In some of our past experiences, the photos we viewed have not accurately reflected the true nature of the place. Not so with the Boathouse! We were pleasantly surprised to see a very spacious "great room" surrounded on three sides by large windows and facing the lake. The furnishings are very comfortable as well as tastefully chosen and placed. The house is beautifully decorated and the 'personal' touch is evident throughout the house. The kitchen, adjacent to the main room, is equipped with all the amenities PLUS! Cookware, dishes, utensils, etc. are of the highest quality. Our sleeping arrangements were very comfortable. We were awakened in the mornings by the haunting cries of the loons and continued to be entertained by them throughout the day. Some in our party spotted an eagle in the area, which we all found exciting. Members of our party enjoyed swimming, canoeing, and kayaking every day,as well as just sitting on the large patio at the lake's edge, enjoying the beautiful view. This is a very quiet area and anyone who is looking for beauty, comfort, and peace will be pleasantly surprised when they arrive here. It is evident that the maintenance and upkeep of the Boathouse is continuous and of the highest quality.
