The Villa la mer is located in one of the best spots of the Cote d'Azur, just in between Antibes and Cannes. The famous town Cannes which is known for its Film Festivals is within a 5 min car drive and Antibes with its beautiful Cap within 8 min. The property sits on top of a completely private residential hill of Golfe Juan. This wonderful holiday home lies in a 2000 sqm big mansion with lemon-, orange and banana trees. The Villa la mer is 300 square meters big split over 2 floors. It has 5 bedrooms (all with AC and sea view), 3 kitchens, 3 bathrooms and a very big reception area with a fireplace seating area connecting to it. The Villa la mer can easily accommodate 10 people and is perfect for a family holiday. 4 outdoor terraces (with BBQ and draft beer) and a 10x10m pool (with solar heating) will make your stay unforgettable and is a perfect spot to entertain and cook with friends. For the winter months you can enjoy our exterior sauna and a red wine at the fireplace afterwards!

Further Details: On the terrace you will find a summer kitchen with a big outdoor grill. There is a pool bar with beer on tap and a view of the ocean. Various tennis courts and a newly created 27- hole golf course are nearby. You will finde several different games in the house (dar, table tennis etc). The distance to the beach is 300 m

Room and Breakfast Service: Specially for our clients coming to the Festivals ( Filmfestival, MIPIM, MAPIC, etc) we offer a daily Room and breakfast service if desire. Please do not hesitate to ask us.

Distance to the beach: The beach from Golfe Juan is only 300 m away. You can either walk it down the hill by foot within 10 minutes or drive with the car within 2 minutes (several parking spaces are located there).

Wonderful! Great views, lovely atmosphere.

I stayed at the villa once before and had high expectations. It didn't disappoint! It's a very easy space for 10 people to chill, eat, laugh and play - we had two children with us and felt they were safe and that we didn't have to worry all the time about what they were up to, as long as we supervised them in the pool. A wonderful week, many thanks.

Mum's 70th

This is the first time I've ever reviewed something but felt it was important to let others know what a fantastic property this villa is and to confirm that the pictures absolutely do it justice. In short, our party was 11 people - 8 adults and 3 young children - and the size, general layout, BBQ and pool area were all just perfect for that number of people. There is enough space that everyone could feel relaxed and together but not on top of each other. The bedrooms are all perfectly comfortable (even if the beds are a little basic) but it's really the living space downstairs and the outside space that makes the property 5 star. On top of that everything you need is provided for and you are supported by a friendly and helpful property manager. From a location perspective, great views can only be had if you are up high and while the walk down the hill is easy, the walk up (10-12mins) will burn some calories. So, while it would be nice if there were a couple of small shops at the top of the hill to save the walk this isn't in the control of the owners.

To summarise, your holiday is what you make of it but this place will certainly enhance the experience! Lastly, we have already recommended the villa to friends and will continue to do so. And hopefully we will also return again in the future.

OK..

I stayed at this Villa with my parter for 7 nights from June 18th and overall had an OK stay.

I would say the picture don't show a true reflection of the property as it is somewhat dated and the security of the property is poor considering the theft levels in the local area.

Upon departure we paid a very high water rate and were ask to pay for plumbing costs that we are 100% certain were not caused by us.

I would not return or recommend.

Owner's Response: The pictures of the property were taken a few years back and since then we have massively invested and improved the property. Since 16 years we have been renting the property and no sewage problems occurred during this period ever. We do have the statement of the plumber in writing that due items like facial wipes etc which were thrown into the toilet the sewage blockage was caused. In regards to the water bill it is important to mention that the water costs comprises fresh water (water consumption, pool , irrigation), sewage water thereof and partial costs of supply. In summertime costs run normally between 200-300 Euro per week.

Wonderful time!!!!

I celebrated my 50th birthday with my partner and several friends at Villa Le Mer. The owner and the property management team were great to deal with which made our stay even better. The house had everything we needed!!!! Would defiantly stay again and recommend to others.

Simply perfect

I stayed at this villa in June 2010. The whole experience was truly amazing. The pictures are a true reflection of this luxurious 5 bedroom villa, set in idyllic, picturesque surroundings overlooking the port. It is by the quaint village of Golfe Juan, 10 minutes drive Cannes. Accordingly you can sleep peacefully, relax by the pool then, in mere minutes, be in the party scene of Cannes; the best of both worlds in my opinion.

The villa itself is clean, well maintained and kitted out with everything you can want. From the infinitely pool, BBQ, sauna, every kitchen appliance you can imagine, TV, stereo and endless supply of linen/towels. We wanted for nothing. The security is also first rate and I felt very safe.

I am a well travelled and used to a good quality of life. Yet this is one of the most beautiful places I have stayed in and I would not hesitate to go back.

Golfe Juan is directly located next to Cannes and near Vallauris, a beautiful little town which was is famous for its pottery and Picasso. It is strategically located 6 km from Cannes and 16 km from Nice. Due to its strategically great location you will be able to visit all the world well-known cities as Antibes, St. Tropez, Monaco, San Remo etc. Despite its central location Golfe Juan remains a quiet place where you can relax and enjoy!

Golf: Nearby you can find many possiblities and courses to play golf. Just recently a new 27-hole golf course opened within a 10 minute drive from the Villa la mer. A list with all the courses around and their address is available and we would be more than happy to send you those too.

Notes:
The equipment is high standard and luxurious and modern but still with the mediterranean flair. The property offers all the things which make life comfortable: fireplace, library, American fridge with ice-crusher, whirlpool, bedrooms with air conditioning, a outdoor bbq you enjoy the breath taking views over the sea! And since recently with our new outdoor sauna for the winter days! Pets are generally permitted (might include extra cleaning costs) but has to be agreed with the landlord.
