About this property

The attractive holiday home SÜDSTRAND is located in a newer residential area with loose and green rows of houses, near the historic center of Hooksiel. Old port, restaurants, shops, bike and canoe rentals each within a radius of approx. 150-500 m, sea water indoor wave pool approx. 1 km. Next beach section approx. 1.5 km, bathing beach 2 km. Own parking space in front of the house.

Tasteful furnishings with leather sofa sets. Light wooden furniture, furnished in 2014, convey a cozy living atmosphere. Tile and laminate floors in the living and sleeping area. Modern ambience with cable TV, terrace with furniture for 4 people, gas central heating and storage room in the garden.
The house has 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with 2 separate beds. In addition, there is the possibility of sleeping on a sofa bed in the living room and optionally a baby travel bed.
Bathroom with shower and toilet and a separate guest toilet are a matter of course.
The kitchen is of high quality with ceramic hob, microwave and dishwasher.
The south-facing garden is hardly visible and has a sheltered wind

Ankommen, wohlfühlen

Haben uns von Beginn an wohl gefühlt. Haus, Terasse, Lage und Umbebung sehr schön. Toller Strand. Von der Ferienwohnung aus am Besten mit dem Rad erreichbar. Hooksiel ist ein hübsches Städtchen mit guter Gastronomie. Sehenswert und auf jeden Fall zu unterstützen ist das Muschelmuseum. Auch Wilhelmshaven ist sehr gut erreichbar.

So nicht zu empfehlen

Die Wohnung benötigt dringend einen Handwerker um diverse Mängel (die sicherlich schon länger vorhanden sind) zu beheben. Das geht auch während der Hauptsaison. Etwas sauberer könnte die Wohnung auch sein. Abgesehen von den zahlreichen Spinnen direkt im Eingangsbereich, waren Spinnweben zahlreich sichtbar. Im Badezimmer klebten Haare an den Wänden.. nicht von uns! Dann müsste der Vermieter mal die Angaben auf Fewo und dem Mietvertrag abgleichen, da waren schon einige gravierende Unterschiede vorhanden (z. Bsp. An- und Abreisezeiten sowie Stornokosten). Der Code für den Schlüssel sollte uns kurz vor Anreise mitgeteilt werden, als wir vor der Haustür standen, haben wir die Verwalterin kontaktiert. Wir wurden am Telefon begrüßt mit den Worten: „Da haben Sie aber Glück das Sie mich an einem Sonntag erreichen!“ Im Mietvertrag steht das Sie für die Dauer des Buchungszeitraums unsere Ansprechpartnerin ist. Die Beleuchtung im Wohn-/Essbereich könnte besser sein. WLAN gibt es nicht, in der heutigen Zeit ungewöhnlich, da vieles online gebucht werden kann.. Eine Waschmaschine wäre nicht schlecht, gerade wenn man mit Kindern da ist und täglich an den Strand gehen kann.. Evtl ein paar Gesellschaftsspiele hinstellen, gerade für schlechtes Wetter ist die Wohnung schlecht ausgestattet. Im großen und ganzen ist bei uns der Eindruck entstanden, das hier möglichst wenig investiert/angeboten wird aber den ortsüblichen Miettarif aufzurufen!
