This wonderful, family-friendly beach house is located in the gated Island Park community on the desirable west-end of Ocean Isle Beach. The house has 5 bedrooms (downstairs: King Master; Queen + Twin; upstairs: King Master; Queen + Twin; 2 Twins) and 4 full bathrooms, and sleeps 12. The comfortable living room has a 55' flat-screen HD TV with DVD/VCR player, as well as a speaker dock for your iPod. Both Masters also have flat-screen HD TVs and DVD players. The house also has free secure high speed wireless internet (password provided), and a desk in the living room in case you need to work during your vacation. The corner lot offers plenty of room to throw the football or kick a soccer ball.

Public beach access and the pools are all within a short walk (4-8 minutes, depending on your pace). After a long day at the beach, clean up in the heated outdoor shower, then relax with a cold drink on the large deck and watch the sunset.

WHAT TO BRING: You must furnish your own sheets, pillow cases, blankets, towels, beach chairs, etc. If you don't want to bring your own, you can rent a linen package for $158. The linens will be delivered to the house before your arrival and for about $35 extra, you can have the beds already made up.

Golf Cart Outlet is the best place we've found to rent a golf cart at $325/week or $600/week for 2 carts. Their number is 910-579-8070.

The large kitchen is well stocked with service for 12. It is equipped with a smooth-top stove, oven, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, blender, sandwich maker, can opener, dishwasher, and refrigerator/freezer with ice maker. There are plenty of pots, pans, cutlery, casserole dishes, mixing bowls, muffin pans, and a spice rack.

The house is also equipped with a full-size washer and dryer, as well as an iron and ironing board. There is a clothes line in the carport for hanging wet beach towels and bathing suits.

RECREATION: Of course, the main attraction is the beach and building sand castles and collecting shells. There are also two community pools located in our Island Park neighborhood. On the island, there is a miniature golf course, tennis courts, and a playground. You can also rent bicycles or charter a fishing trip. The Museum of Coastal Carolina is also located on the island and has activities for kids.

Just off the island, you can find go-cart racing and more miniature golf. The Silver Coast Winery is only 15 min from the island and offers tours and tastings. Planet Fun is only 15 min away and has bowling, laser tag, and an arcade. Myrtle Beach is only 45 min away and has everything from water parks to outlet malls. It is also home to the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, the Atlanta Braves Class A minor league baseball team.

The house has a big yard where kids can play safely. Inside, there are toys and board games for younger kids and a XBOX 360 with a variety of games.

RESTAURANTS: There are a number of restaurants on the island, and more on the mainland. We do have a few favorites. For dinner, Roberto's Ristorante, just off the island, is our favorite. The Bang Bang Shrimp makes a great appetizer. The fish is always wonderful, and the Fillet Mignon is hard to beat. The pizza is so good we often have them prepare 2 that we freeze and bring home). Roberto's also has a full bar.

Calabash, the 'Seafood Capital of the World,' is only 6 miles from OIB. For dinner, we love The Boundary House. Capt. Nance's offers the typical fried fish, shrimp and hush puppies, and the prices are decent.

For breakfast, we like the Purple Onion Cafe in Shallotte which has giant pancakes, blueberry biscuits and fantastic raspberry croissants. Also in Shallotte is Jumpin Java with coffee and smoothies.

Always fun are Ocean Isle Restaurant with its rooftop Tiki Bar and Sharkey's, both on the island just before the bridge. The Sugar Shack gets great reviews, but call ahead.

The house has access to two community pools, the closest of which is only 1/4 mile away. Public beach access is less than 1/2 mile away. The house also has a large deck with seating for 7 – a great place to relax and watch the setting sun.

Great house!

We just stayed in this house and it was great. Very clean and comfortable for our family of 10. Great yard for the grandkids to play in. A little walk to the beach and pool, but not bad. We would probably try and rent a golf cart next time. The closet downstairs was very helpful, lots of things for the beach. We hope to stay here again if we visit Ocean Isle Beach.

Awesome time!

This is the 7th time I have stayed at this home! It has a great location and everything you could want to have an awesome time at the beach! There is a closet downstairs with toys for the kids, a wagon, boogie boards, and chairs... and a grill! The kitchen is well stocked as is the home!

We just came home from our yearly beach vacation. I have to say that 37 Atlantic Way is the dream vacation home. The home offered all the amenities that one would need and many that enhanced our vacation! We certainly would stay here again.

We chose this house for the size and location. It was great. Island Park is such a great community. The house has everything you could possibly need, and it's just a short walk to the beach. Loved it!!!

A Spacious, Yet Cozy Getaway on a Corner Lot

We are a family of 4; our two children are ages 18 and 21. We so enjoyed your home as it is most spacious and, at the same time, very cozy. The corner lot provided a privacy on the deck where we spent most of our evenings. The location is a close walk to the beach and yet far enough away to enjoy the quietness. The open kitchen provides enough floor and counter space for many people to cook at once. We enjoyed having the WiFi access. As an active family, we enjoyed tennis, jogging, and biking in Island Park and the surrounding area of Ocean Isle. The owners and property management were most accommodating, pleasant, friendly, and professional to work with throughout the entire booking process.
