The minute you see the bungalow at VillaRosa - Arecibo - with its large wrap-around terrace, hammock, lounge chairs & breathtaking views - you will know that you have arrived in paradise. The porch is perfect for entertaining or just lazing the days away, watching the many moods of the oceans. After you take a dip in the secluded beach cove, shower off the sand in one of our full outdoor baths before heading inside, where there is 1 bdrm, 1 bath, a modern kitchen and a comfy living room, fully equipped with TV, DVD, home stereo with iPod dock. It sleeps 4 comfortably; with a queen bed in the bdrm & queen sofabed in the living room. While it is a romantic spot, kids also love to explore the beach & all it's adventures.
Don’t let the size of the house stop you from planning your event here. It sits on over 3400 sq mtrs (almost an acre), allowing you to host a variety of functions such as: wedding receptions, barbecues, birthday bashes, reunions…the list is as long your imagination!

Another Review From a Recent Customer (Sept 2009): 'Ms Greene,
I just wanted to drop you a note and tell you we had a great time. We could not ask for better weather and a prettier place to stay. It was quiet and private. The beach was just great with no one to be found around. I think it would be easy to just lay on the patio forever. We did travel all around the island. We also go lost a few times, but we were in not hurry to get anywhere.
We found that the Super Market you had listed was closed, but there was a market in town. We did find the little Bakery & Pizza place a short walk from the house. They make a great sandwich.
Thanks for a great place to stay.
Roger, Julie, and Aiden
PS: I really liked your care takers. They were nice to talk to.'

Myrtle-Rose Greene purchased this villa in 2006
My travels to Puerto Rico began in 1998, with my then-11-year-old daughter. We toured the entire big island of Puerto Rico as well as the two smaller islands (Vieques and Culebra) by car and completely fell in love with the culture, the food and the beauty of "la isla del encanto". I had entertained the idea of purchasing a property at that point, but it wasn't until 2005, when chance brought me and my husband back to Puerto Rico, that I was finally able to fulfill my dream of having a beach house. In fact, I found my first dream property on the eastern side of the island, in a town called Luquillo, close to El Yunque and the port city of Fajardo. As I developed what would become VillaRosa – Luquillo (VRBO Listing #235755), I also began exploring Puerto Rico all over again. I remembered my visit with my daughter - that we had loved the areas near the Cordillera Central (the central mountain region) because it had seemed to us like a completely different world from the coastal cities of San Juan and Ponce. Things moved slower there, (except on the mountainous highways!), and the paths were less frequently traveled. But we were often rewarded by the majestic mountain forests, large tropical lakes and stunningly uncommon coastlines. So, I began looking on the northwest coast, and stumbled upon VillaRosa – Arecibo. I know that you will fall in love with this property (just like we did) and I also know that you will want to return again and again to “Make Our Home Yours”!
Es el lugar mas espectacular para una boda!
Nuestra boda quedo preciosa en este lugar con una de las vistas mas bellas de P.R.
La pasamos divino! Mil Gracias
Just returned from my stay at Villa Rosa - Arecibo for 4 nights and it was absolutely wonderful. Pictures are beautiful but do not do it justice - even better in person! Large balcony to enjoy the sunrise and sunset, only steps to the beach and the house has everything you could possibly need - was told I only needed to bring beach towels - and this was the truth. Did not want to leave and can't wait to go back!
this review is very much overdue. We had a fantastic time in PR and enjoyed this property. It has an unbelievable location with amazing views of the powerful water. You can't swim out very far but you can wade into the water in the shallow areas. We enjoyed hiking on the sharp rocks (bring good shoes) to look at the water and enjoy the views. The house was comfortable and large enough for our family of 4. (9 and 11). We stayed April 2015. I was unable to enter the correct date due not being able to choose a date that far in the past.
We highly recommend this home to anyone traveling to PR. We arrived in San Juan, picked up our rental and drove to Arecibo. Prior to arriving we picked up some groceries and headed to rental. At arrival we met the property manager and she was so great to work with. Arecibo was an escape for us and we enjoyed every moment. It felt like time slowed down. Naturally waking up around 5am never felt so good. Many things to do or nothing to do (whichever you choose). Highly recommend having a car as you are in a private area/location.The beach behind the house is stunning.
Also, a heads up, everything seemed to be closed from Monday to Wednesday, except a little bakery right next to the house. Don't miss the shave ice stand, by the lighthouse.
Home sleeps 6 with one large bedroom and sleeper in living room. It was perfect for our family, 2 adults and 4 kids. Loved the private beach, the neighboring areas, the food and the places we got to visit. We came to Arecibo to escape and it exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend it.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our four-night stay at VillaRosa in Arecibo. We found the house and view even better than the listing description. The house was clean, well maintained and provided everything we needed. In fact, we never even left the property!
We spent mornings and nights with the beach to ourselves and afternoons hiking the cliffs, taking in the vast ocean. We enjoyed the hammock, the breezes and the quiet. There were only a few other visitors to the beach during our stay.
On our way to the airport, we were already planning a return trip with our children. We look forward to our next visit to VilllaRosa and highly recommend the experience!
We just spent our honeymoon here! What a beautiful place! We enjoyed many relaxing times in the big hammock on the front porch. The ocean spray is just gorgeous as the waves crash against the gigantic rocks out front. We spent several evenings on the top of the rocks just watching the sun set and the waves crash! We "fell in love" with Puerto Rico!! It's an amazing and beautiful island!! We couldn't get done exploring the mountains, the cities, and the beaches! We saw humpback whales in Rincon along with an awesome sunset! We explored the rainforest which is a great venture and some good hiking trails for a real workout! The awesome things was that every evening we could return to the quietness and peace of this little "haven"! We will definitely recommend this place to others and...we hope to be back ourselves in the future sometime. Magaly was great and did such a good job showing us the villa and helping us settle in! This place is truly a touch of "heaven on earth"! I highly recommend this place if you like to get away, relax, and "let it all behind"!!
The house was clean and well maintained with a fantastic view. This was just what we were looking for and we hope to get back soon.
