Fantastic view of the bay of Palma + sea, Close to Town, quiet, Barbecue

The beautiful Mallorcan finca Freixura with fantastic views over the bay of Palma is situated on a hill in front of the gates of the cultural city of Palma and its beaches.

Relax and sit out on the large furnished terrace views, swim in the pool or relax on the sun loungers or meet culinary delights in the rustic outdoor kitchen.

Many activities that you can enjoy your holiday perfect on this farm are available. The house is built over 2 floors, has a large living room with sofa and dining table, a kitchen with dishwasher, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Those wishing to explore the city of Palma, but trotzden want to enjoy a quiet country house setting with pool and also would like to have a ride to the beach, is found in the Finca Freixura the ideal holiday home.

Wonderful stay in real Spanish home with seaview

We had a wonderful stay of two weeks in this homely and very original Spanish house, with a real personal feal, superb view on Palma and the bay and a nice swimming pool to cool off. Mostly good equipment and utensils. Wonderful central location for excursions in any direction. Basic amenities in the village at 1 km, big supermarket at 8 km.

The process to book the house and eventually get the keys went smooth, although we needed some persuasiveness to get acceptance of partial payment in advance by bank transfer instead of bringing such amounts in cash. The manager was so kind to give us a 5-litre bottle of natural water, because we arrived in the evening and the water in the house was not for human consumption, as he explained.

For these reasons we would like to give a 5-star rating. But some details need serious care!

A lot of lights and parts of the electricity system do not function properly. Although the manager said he would contact us about this, he did not. A couple of days later we were told the gardener would look at it. Only two days before we left, we saw the gardener who explained the electrician would come within a couple days. We had no key to enter the garage from the outside, but in there was the switch for the lights along the gateway and the parking lot. There were no functioning lights at the side entrance to the terrace nor in the outer kitchen. Several sockets had no electricity. Some windows and some shutters could not be closed because of rust or other deficiencies. We were with only 3 adults and were glad we did not need the sleeping room with two single beds: they were very weak. The bed in the ‘master bedroom’ was quite narrow (140-150 cm?), so we decided that this bed was for our 3rd man and the couple used the big bed upstairs. In just 2 of the 3 bedrooms there was a fan, which we really needed against the mosquitos and summer heat. Odd enough: a lot of pans, but hardly any lid. And the garden needs more water in summer, then you would get something like the gardens of Alfabia...

Looking back, we are not sure whether the contract we received, was adequate. The hire of our rental car was regulated in a more detailed contract than the rent of the house, and there was a detailed inspection of the car before and after the rental period, not of the house. This surprised us a little bit.

Because of the aforementioned flaws, we have come to the 4-star rating.

But we enjoyed the house thoroughly and hope to be back soon!

Eine tolle Woche im Haus Freixura, Portol

Wir (2 Pärchen) haben eine tolle Woche auf Mallorca verbracht. Das Haus war perfekt und das Wetter hat auch super mitgespielt. Wir konnten jeden Tag den Außengrill nutzen und den Pool genießen. Ein Auto braucht man allerdings auf jeden Fall. Das Haus liegt ziemlich außerhalb vom Ort. Auf der zweiten Terrasse - bei einem Glas Wein - der abendliche Blick auf die Lichter in der Bucht von Palma ist ein Genuss. Auch die Töpferei in Portol können wir wärmstens empfehlen. Eine ganz kleine Anregung: Moskito-Netze über den Betten wären toll. Wir haben Geräte für die Steckdosen besorgt, aber auf Dauer wären Netze sinnvoll. Wir kommen garantiert wieder!
