Create your summer memories here!
Villa Villekulla is fabulous gem of a rental on a nice quiet street.
This lower level duplex is a wonderful, cozy family rental and it's never looked better! With a bright interior, granite countertops, woodflooring, along with a shaded back deck and great backyard...it's one of the nicest family rentals right in town.
All the bedrooms have new carpeting and there is a TV in every bedroom as well as the family room. WiFi is available as well.
Located on a quiet street, Villa Villekulla is a great family rental. Just three and half blocks from the beach, one and half blocks from downtown Bethany Beach. It's an easy stroll, grab the Villa Villekulla wagon for your little ones (or to carry your purchases home!) The newly expanded library is right around the corner and has computers and some great story hours and activities and a great playground is just over a block away.
Spend your days at the beach and your evenings walking on the boardwalk, kite flying, or shopping in one of the many shops. If you are looking for more evening entertainment Rehobeth Beach and Ocean City are both minutes away. Outlet shopping (tax free) is just minutes away in Rehobeth.
We love the beach house and spend every weekend in the summer in the upper unit. It is truly our home away from home!

Andrea purchased this house in 2003
Collins is just a few blocks from the hustle of the boardwalk but is a nice quiet shady street. The best of both worlds!
Hanging out in the hammock in the shady back yard, having breakfast on the back deck, walking to get the morning paper and bike riding and exploring all the side streets.
The property was just as described in the listing. It was clean, comfortable and pleasant. Andrea was very quick to respond to our questions before and during our stay. We were there during very hot weather and were grateful for the central air conditioning. We would definitely stay here again. The walk to the beach was .7 miles- very doable for us with the use of the cart available at the house. The trolley also stops right across from the house, making that a convenient option. We had never been to Bethany Beach (or Delaware) before and really liked the area. We did a mix of beach time and shopping and touring the area. We also enjoyed Restaurants that we went to more than once were Mango's and Difebo's. We also enjoyed Kohr's frozen custard more than once!
This is a wonderful choice for a week at Bethany Beach! It is a lovely property within walking distance of the beach, main part of town and the library. The owners have provided many extras, such as games, umbrellas, beach chairs and even a wagon to drag necessary items to the beach. The lovely back yard complete with grill and hammock was a plus.
The owners are extremely attentive to any issues during your stay. We had a small problem with the television in the living room and they came immediately to help remedy the situation.
The living room was a little tight for six adults. Because it was an Olympic watching week, we spent time together in the evenings watching the largest TV. (Note: There are TVs in every bedroom, so this was our choice.)
Recently spent a week at this charming home. Located in the lower level of a house, it is about a 5 - 10 minute walk into the town of Bethany Beach. This is an ideal location since parking in the town can be quite difficult in the summer months even with a seasonal parking pass. Our party consisted of three adult couples.
The home was spotless when we arrived and is beautifully furnished in muted colors. There are two rooms with queen beds and one room with twin beds; each room has its own television. I'm not sure I would describe the beds as "comfy" as indicated in the owner's description, but having stayed in many rentals I know it's rare to find a good mattress in these types of spaces. The twin room has a chest of drawers but no closet. The first queen room is very nice. The second queen bedroom is quite small with a closet and chest of drawers but lacks a mirror. (I personally would have preferred a mirror over a television set.) Linens are not provided. There is an inviting living area connected to an adequately-sized kitchen area. All appliances appear to be relatively new and were in good working order, and the kitchen is well supplied with the necessary tools for cooking meals. As mentioned by another reviewer, the stools at the kitchen counter are light and tip over easily.
Our group enjoyed the house and the location, but all felt it was a little tight for six adults for an entire week. I would recommend this home to families with children and adult parties of less than six. That said, I have been staying in rental homes in the Bethany Beach area for over 20 summers and can attest that this home is exceptional for the price and location.
We stayed at Villa Villakula four years ago with our adult children, and returned last week, with the addition of our 1 year old grandson. As mentioned by others, the house is well appointed, the updates look fabulous, and the location is perfect - a quiet neighborhood but walkable to downtown and the beach and an easy drive to Rehobeth and Ocean City. The responsiveness of the owners throughout was once again exceptional - we would highly recommend this rental without hesitation!
The house was nicely appointed and had modern furnishings, always a plus for a rental. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishware and cookware - we were able to cooking on par with what we do at home. Some oddities to be aware of:
1) The indoor dining area is not directly connected to the kitchen. We ended up eating around the coffee table in the living room for the most part.
2) There are no dining chairs with backs and the stools for the breakfast bar are so light, they're kind of dangerous. We brought a highchair adapter for our 16 month old, but with no chairs with backs, couldn't use it as intended (we ended up putting him on the floor). The stools were very easily tipped over - a combo of being very light and being placed on slippery hardwood floor (maybe some grippers on the legs would help?).
3) The living room has (modern) shag carpet. Again, probably not a big deal for most people, but hard to keep clean with a 16 month old running around.
Have been staying here for years and it's always been great! This summer was better than ever! The owners have made some welcome improvements that enhanced our experience! The place looks fantastic!
