About this property

The River Lodge sits on the scenic Chester River located 5 miles outside of Chestertown.

It's the perfect little get away. You'll experience beautiful sunsets and tranquil nights. During the day sit in a chair on your small private beach and bask in the sun rays. Fish off the dock, swim in the river, play ball in the large yard, and at the end of the day enjoy a delicious meal on the porch that was cooked on the BBQ grill.

There are hardwood floors through out the lodge. Twin beds in all the bedrooms with the exception of one that has a queen bed and a day bed.

The River Lodge offers a great rustic setting for a family gathering, hunters, or a friends weekend.

The property lends itself to many possibilities such as crab feasts, picnics, family reunions, etc. The River Lodge has a spacious living room with a wondrous view of the Chester River.

Family Vacation

We had yet another fantastic stay at the River Lodge! This is our 3rd summer here. We are never disappointed. The house was spotless when we arrived, and check in was seamless. We love the privacy of this location too. It’s such a treasure!

Beautiful setting!

Part of the Britland Manor estate, the River Lodge delivers on privacy, gorgeous sunsets, beautiful setting, and a lovely homey cabin vibe inside. All 4 BRs are spacious with ample closet/drawers. Dining area slightly cramped for more than 6 but only in chilly weather--outside dining area is huge, screened porch table also good. Suspect that it was built for 3 seasons--gale force winds & single digit temps were slightly challenging, hopefully that's unusual winter weather for Chestertown. Natalie was very responsive and efficient, and I would definitely rent there again.

Another great stay at The River Lodge!

This is our second time renting this property. We love the location, views, privacy, and the house is perfectly laid out to accommodate 10 very comfortably. Natalie was very easy to communicate with too!

Birthday getaway

The River Lodge at Brittland is one of the most peaceful and relaxing stays we have had. The location is private and quiet and beautiful! My family stayed only two nights for a "milestone"birthday getaway, but honestly, we came home as relaxed as if we had stayed a week. Truly a little gem.
