About the property

Casa Evita located in Chele, in the quiet upper part of Valle Gran Rey. It is surrounded by the typical La Gomera terraced fields, which are managed by the owners of Casa Evita. From the large furnished terrace you have a wonderful view over the valley up to the small village church of San Antonio. The well-equipped kitchen you will find everything you need for cooking. The house is an ideal starting point for numerous hikes. The village center in La Calera is a mere 30 min. Walk. It is 45 minutes' walk to the beach. We recommend a rental car. In the center you will find small supermarkets as well as very good and reasonably priced restaurants. Valle Gran Rey is the ideal starting point for a visit to the Garajonay National Park, World Heritage by UNESCO.

Good booking service.

Owners nice & pleased to help, lots of bananas :-)

Clean & well equipped but you do need to make sure the keys are controlled to avoid locking ones self out!

Don't expect to be able to park near but it's not far to find a slot.

EXCELLENT SMALL HOLIDAY HOME IN A PEACEFUL SITUATION

THIS IS AN IDEAL PLACE TO STAY FOR 2 PERSONS. IT IS SITUATED AT THE END OF THE ROAD IN THE SMALL VILLAGE OF CHELE. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE QUALITY OF THE BOWL OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES WHICH WERE GIVEN. I WOULD CERTAINLY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY AND HOPE TO PAY A RETURN VISIT IN THE FUTURE.

Excellent 2-person value for money in good setting

Delayed review due to personal problems, but better late than never, and we wanted to tell people about this little gem.

Casa Evita was perfect for us as a young couple. If you're on a tight budget but want somewhere clean, welcoming, with helpful management (the German manager lives about 300m away along a footpath), really sweet La Gomeran owners (who live directly opposite the villa, their daughter speaks English and German), near a quiet, pleasant beach town (Valle Gran Rey) then we would recommend Casa Evita.

The villa doesn't share its facilities with any other property, so you are self-contained. There's a lovely sunny terrace to enjoy and the rooms have a nice South-facing aspect looking down the valley. Facilities are fairly basic: two main rooms - a double bedroom with wardrobe and set of drawers, and a kitchen with fridge/freezer, two person dining table (with lots of yummy local fruit in a bowl), cooker hob (no oven or microwave), kettle, sink, and cupboards full of all the utensils you'll need and a very few longlife food items (although tin opener was missing when we went!). Access is directly from the outside to both these rooms (BEWARE: outer doors are self-closing/locking!) they don't have an inner linking door, and the small toilet with shower is through a door from the kitchen.

That's pretty much it - it's the necessary basics for a more than fair price, in a good location. And with a 10 minute car journey to a beach lagoon where fish come and eat bread from your fingers (bread can be bought from the medium sized Spar supermarket in Valle Gran Rey), and the Garajonay National Park half an hour in the other direction (albeit along VERY windy roads - reconsider if you get carsick easily), this makes a really interesting and relaxing stay.

Einfaches Häuschen in ruhiger Lage

Im Großen und Ganzen hat das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis gestimmt. Die Räume sind klein und zweckmäßig, aber ist alles drinnen was man braucht. Wenn man den ganzen Tag unterwegs ist und die Wohnung nur zum Schlafen und Essen nutzt, reicht es völlig. Sehr nett ist va. das frische Obst, der Wein und eine Flasche Wasser, das in der Wohnung zur Verfügung gestanden ist. Die Terrasse biete eine tollen Ausblick und das Häuschen befindet sich wirklich in ruhiger Lage.

Punkteabzug gibts leider für die getrennten Eingänge, was etwas unpraktisch war. Das Bad befindet sich mit der Küche in einem Raum und das Schlafzimmer ist mit eigenem Eingang im Nebenraum. Nachts braucht man immer den Schlüssel um außen dann zum Bad zu kommen. Die Küchenaustattung ist zwar gut, aber nicht mehr ihr Zustand. Tw. waren die Sachen nicht gut gespült und mussten nochmals gereinigt werden. Pfannen waren komplett verkrazt und Töpfe waren alte Alucampingtöpfe. Reicht für ein paar einfache Gerichte, aber groß Kochen empfiehlt sich ggf. nicht.

Schönes kleines Haus

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt genossen .Das Haus hat alles was gebraucht wird . Bei der Ankunft lag Obst und Wein da :-) wirklich schön ist auch die Große Terrasse . Ich würde wieder kommen . Vielen Dank !
