3rd floor 2 bedroom apartment

The third floor 2 bedroom apartment with an elevator has been substantially modernised and upgraded over recent years. Two double rooms have beds that split into singles for flexible occupancy. Enter the apartment through a long hallway with plenty of coat and boot storage. Straight ahead is the well equipped galley kitchen. Turn right and your're into another hallway leading to the bedrooms and bathroom. There's a full bathroom with a deep tub and shower overhead. An iron and hair dryer are provided. The dining/living room has space to sprawl and relax in front of a 32in smart TV/DVD with Apple TV and DAB docking radio. Authentic cow hide rug. Spacious round dining table. Store skis in the ground floor ski locker room supplied. There's a new professional ski boot drier (4 pairs). Balcony doors with Mont Blanc, westerly view for stunning sunsets whilst you sip a G&T. Other windows face north to Brevent. Modern, uncluttered and thoughtfully equipped.

The most important criteria for choosing your holiday apartment in Chamonix is location. Get it wrong (or worse be mislead by 'out of town' properties) and you can't enjoy Chamonix to the full. Our location couldn't be better. Enjoy nights in or 5 minutes walk away you're hitting the action in Chamonix town or hopping on a bus to the slopes. A 10 minute walk takes off piste hounds to the Auguille du Midi lift station for the Vallee Blanche. Outside, in summer, is a very pleasant communal garden that's free for your enjoyment.

Chamonix is an unbelievable mountain town - not at all like a typical purpose built resort. Steeped in history - from alpine climbing to the Olympics. The apartment is minutes walk from the bustling town centre, dozens of bars and restaurants, discos, shops and the Brevent & Auguille du Midi cable cars. Enjoy awesome views of Mont Blanc and the Brevent ski face from the apartment. There's a great mix of ski terrain from town centre blues & reds to the deepest and steepest off-piste slopes.

Geneva airport is a short 60 mile transfer away (easily arranged) or the motorway/ peage virtually runs to the door from Calais for Brits who drive. The main bus terminal is a 5 minute walk away so you don't need a car once to explore the town and shop etc. Chamonix is an outstanding venue year-round! Don't be fooled into booking a property for your precious holiday that is in some obscure corner of the Chamonix valley and not in the town centre area where you have access to apres ski, restaurants, night life and shopping.

Summer details: Chamonix’s a year-round adventure play ground. You can walk, climb (any style to any standard), paragliding, hang glide, parachute (45 minutes away), mountain bike, fish, golf, party, eat, go bowling, swim, play tennis, dance at nightclubs, sight see, break out the water colour paints or gamble at the casino! It is all here for you.

We are a family of 4 that loves adventure. Our youngest daughter started skiing at 23 months. The oldest started skiing off piste from the top of Grands Montet age 6. Dad is an Everest summiteer who loves skiing and paragliding. Mom is an ultra distance runner and keen skier. The owners have lived between Chamonix and the Lake District for 15 years and are busy raising two young daughters who think of Cham as home and climb, ski, bike and dance! We know what families need to make a successful holiday and great, easy care thoughtfully appointed accommodation is key to that. That's why we're proud to provide modern facilities and top appliances, convenience to shops, easy care features such as tiled floors, no-fuss elegant decor (resilient Dulux 10x tougher paint throughout) and no knick knacks, fragile decorations or any owner's personal clutter to worry about breaking!

In the ground floor flat there are 3 bedrooms so there's space and privacy for 6 without cramming sofa beds in the living area. The equally equally nice apartment on the 3rd floor with MB views sleeps 4 in two bedrooms so if you're travelling with another family or have a big group then you can book apartments to be near to each other. Both apartments have free wifi and professional ski boot driers.

What makes this apartment unique

Central location 5 mins walk to the main bus station or train stop (ok - 10 minutes with little ones in tow). Professional quality wall mounted ski boot dryer for 5 pairs and an internal secure ski rack in the ground floor property. A ground floor ski locker comes with the 3rd floor flat and there's a pro ski boot drier (4 pairs) in the apartment. There's a lift to the 3rd floor property. There are several UK plug sockets in both flasts to reduce the need for adapters. New oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. The world's most conscientious cleaner (Lisa) who ensures the apartments are gleaming when you arrive for your precious holiday! In the ground floor property we provide plastic kid's dishware and cups, picnic tupperware and flasks to help you keep your costs down on the slopes as well as a proper family sized fridges for groceries, beer and easy self catering. Free fast broadband wifi in both apartments.

  • There is a proper washing machine in the bathroom with a very effective spin cycle so you can cut down on the baggage costs and wash clothes mid holiday. Wash a load in under an hour on the fast cycle. Very warm radiators ensure your base layers and knickers are dry the next day! Full sized deep bath with overhead shower is ideal for relaxing after an active day.

  • The apartment can accommodate singles or couples in any combination in 4 single beds that zip together to make 5 foot wide doubles. Both bedrooms have been re-plastered and decorated recently. Plus there's new lovely oak floors in the master bedroom to compliment the living room. This is a quiet building, nevertheless, we've adding insulated plasterboard to the master bedroom walls connected to the neighbouring flat to minimize the transmission of noise (mainly outwards - we have 2 noisy kids!). The beds are quite low and the owners find that their youngest child can safely sleep without any undo risk to falling out of bed without a bed guard! One bedroom has a large dresser and large wardrobe. The other has a large dresser. Beside tables and reading lamps in both bedrooms. One is carpeted. The other has oak flooring.

You'll love the comfort of this very conveniently situated apartment (with a lift). The owners have equipped it to a high personal standard for their own comfort and for occasional letting. In autumn 2011 the apartment was fully refurnished, plastered out and again repainted Jan '14. Has new easy care oak floors in 2 rooms. You'll find a DVD collection for your enjoyment, free WiFi, digital docking radio & Apple TV. Lots of space for gear and jackets in the spacious entrance hall. There's a further hallway to the bedrooms. The compact fully kitted kitchen includes a dishwasher. Full sized tall American fridge/freezer. In summer, the balcony with Mont Blanc views provides extra pleasure. The beds are totally flexible so the apartment can sleep 2 couples in doubles, families (double and twins) or 4 singles. Ski locker on the ground floor and a new professional boot drier (4 pairs) in the apartment. Lots of nice original artwork and photographs throughout.

Nice, clean and fantastically located

Very practical, clean (bathroom is new) and a friendly owner. It can easily accommodate a large group of people. While the flat is not luxurious, it has everything you may need for a ski trip.

The building is fantastically located in a quiet street, just few meters from town center (5 minute walk) and Bus Stop for Ski lifts (2 minute walk).

Highly recommended

Stayed here on a four day trip in a group of four guys. Couldn't fault anything about the apartment - despite being compact it was perfect for our group as there were four (comfortable) single beds. The kitchen, whilst very small, is fully equipped so we were able to cook dinner a couple of times. Living room was very cosy and comfortable for four, with a good sized dining table, and having English satellite TV was great for keeping us entertained in the evenings. Just as pleasing was the location - we arrived by bus from the airport, so the fact that the main bus station was only a five minute stroll away was extremely helpful. You can also find a shop (Casino) and restaurants at a similar distance. The lifts are further, but that seems to be an issue no matter where in Chamonix you stay, as it is a sprawling resort. Finally, the owner, Barry, is extremely helpful and responsive. He was even kind enough to let us check out late, so we could enjoy our last day on the slopes as much as possible. All in all a very pleasant stay at this apartment.

Excellent base for the ski area

Thanks Barry for providing such a great home from home for us on my 40th birthday celebration skiing holiday. An unforgettable experience for us and especially my two girls (8 and 5 years old) who had their first ski experience in Chamonix. The apartment had everything we needed, was excellently maintained and with specific and concise instructions with all the info you would ever need and was ideally located to the Chamonix Sud bus station (few mins walk) and Cham town centre also a few mins walk. I would like to recommend La Belgique A to anyone who wants to stay in Chamonix. The owner Barry was quick to respond to all correspondence.Thanks again Barry- we will be back!

Just what we needed.

The apartment had everything we needed as a family with two young children. It is in a great location being a short walk to the centre of town. It is a good size and well set up with toys and games etc for children. It is well maintained and clean and the owner was consistently quick to respond to my queries and was very helpful. I would happily stay here again. We had a great time. Thanks Barry.

Homey Apartment Close to Heart of Chamonix

We booked this apartment for four and it was great. Only about a five minute walk to the heart of Chamonix where you can find nice restaurants, shopping or groceries. It was also only a five minute walk to a central bus station serviced by all the ski buses. The apartment was not large, but plenty big. It had everything we needed to feel at home. We would stay here again if we should ever visit Chamonix again.

A definitely super rental

We stayed for a week at Le Belgique A . The apartment was clean and well-maintained,comfortable, homely , and calm with a well-equipped kitchen as indicated in the description . Its location is ideal, hardly five minutes'walk from the centre of Chamonix with shops, bars, restaurants...and close to the Aiguille du Midi departure . I would definitely recommend this rental .

The apartment is in central Chamonix. The address is 338 Ave Ravanel Le Rouge, which is the continuation of the 'high street' Rue du Docteur Paccard, which heads west of town (down to Lac Gailland and the climbing crags). Residence le Belgique is 200m from the start of the shops and bars on the corner (and up around the corner is the Prieure Hotel, for those who know Chamonix). We are opposite the Gite Vagabond, and around the corner from the main bus terminal and the bowling alley. It's a 10 minute walk to the Auguille du Midi cable car station. We are truly in Chamonix, not in the suburbs or Les Houches! We're in the middle of grid C5 on the Chamoinx town map. If you want access to great shopping, bars & restaurants then you want to be in Chamonix and based where you can walk in the evenings for a night out. Taxis are very expensive and rarely available if you end up further out of town and don't want to drink and drive
