Diamond Cove is a privately owned home, not a resort cabin, and offers all the comforts of home. The house is built around the original structure made of square hewn logs. It offers the feel of a cozy, rustic log home with enough space for your family or group of fishermen. The kitchen is fully stocked, linens are provided, there is a power outlet in the boathouse, kayaks and a charcoal grill for guest's use. If you have a boat, you will enjoy the convenience of the wet boat house and the close proximity to the public boat ramp. Two bedrooms are located behind the main living area. The front room can be used as a play area for little ones, or as a third bedroom.

We have been vacationing in this area for 40 years. We absolutely love it.
The tranquility, proximity to the water, there's nothing like the lake. The aroma of cedar trees warm in the sun stays fresh in your memory long after you have gone.
Dear Strawbridge Family,
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful Lake Vermilion home. We loved the historic feel of the cabin, the fabulous view, the roominess (plenty of room for 8) - EVERYTHING! We made good use of the closet, door pantry and room off the kitchen for storage.
Two boys, age 9 & 10 turned the boat house into the "Bati Shop" and were busy all week stocking it with their catch-minnows, leeches and crayfish! Swimming was great and we enjoyed all the local attractions too- the Bears, Wolf Center, Sudan Mine, Comet Theater, shopping etc.
Thank you to for the warm welcome note, wine & shirt. I also appreciate the prompt return of the security deposit too. Wow! What a great time!! Hope we can come back soon.
My family and I just returned from a week at Diamond Cove. We would go back. The cabin was clean and everything was in working order. We met the owners upon our arrival and they were very welcoming.
I spent the week fishing for muskies and was able to land three in that time (many more follows and a couple of lost opportunities). The cabin is nicely located and one can be casting for muskies in short order. It is also nice and close to Moosebirds (ice cream run) and The Landing (burgers). The boathouse was perfect as it kept things nice and dry.
Thanks for a great week.
The cabin was clean and comfortable for our family of five. The level of finishes fit our family fine; a little rustic, but amenities to support the teenage kids such as WiFi! We would recommend to a friend.
we love coming up to Lake vermilion Diamond cove works great for us love the boat house
Love the food at the Landing
like having the kayaks
I would recommend Diamond cove to my friends
The property was as described, but I think 8 people would be crowded. Perfect for a family or 4 adults who like to fish. The boathouse is a fisherman's dream; it is like having a garage. There is plenty of space for two more boats if needed. The kitchen is a little narrow, but easy for one person to work in, and I even used the oven. We loved sitting on the deck in the evening overlooking the lake. Fishing was good. The cabin is a nice cozy place. The WiFi worked well, but cell phone service was very spotty, but there is a landline in the cabin, so I would make sure that you let people know that number if they need to reach you. I hope to be back next year as I found this very relaxing and came home with my batteries fully charged.
Celebrated my 60th birthday on my favorite lake! The cabin was just what I hoped for, great location and the boat house worked great to keep my boat out of the weather. Many thanks to the owners for opening up a little early, lucky spring had come early too! If you are looking for a true cabin on the water you need look no further, Diamond Cove is it. I will be back!
My fiance and I rented the cabin for a week long getaway. The cabin was comfortable and clean. Caught plenty of fish and really appreciated the boathouse as it rained most days we were there. The cabin was close to the public landing and town, Cook, is just a short drive away. The driveway down to the cabin was a little rough but we managed to get in and out. Enjoyed that fact that we were merely 50 ft from the lake and it was relatively level. We had a great time. Thanks for letting us share your cabin.
