The bath on the top floor should only be used for taking a bath not for showering!

Simple chalet Caroline, 3 storeys. In the district of Im Schybersboden, 200 m from the centre, in a sunny position, excellent location: right in the centre but still quiet, south facing position. In the house: central heating system. In Winter: please take snow chains. Parking at the house. Shopping centre, restaurant, bar 200 m, bus stop Bahnhof 200 m, railway station Grindelwald Dorf 200 m, outdoor swimming pool 2 km, indoor swimming pool 300 m. Golf course (9 hole) 2.5 km, tennis 2 km, minigolf 500 m, sports centre 300 m, mountain railway 200 m, gondola lift 700 m, ski rental 400 m, ski bus stop 200 m, cross country ski track 2 km, ice field, children's playground 300 m. Well-known lakes can easily be reached: Thuner-/Brienzersee 18 km. Please note: suitable for families. Ski bus (free of charge).
There were 9 of us who stayed at Chalet Caroline for a week in April. It was a little hard to find at first due to some construction detours. Once we located it, we found a spacious home within 5 minutes of the center of town and the rail station. The house is a bit dated in its style and decor, but there was ample bedroom space. There are 3 bathrooms, but you are only able to take a shower on the ground floor which requires some planning for a larger group like ours.
The kitchen is basic but has adequate space to prepare meals.
The highlight of the home are the 2 decks facing the Eiger. When the weather is clear, the views are fantastic. The top floor master suite has access to the top deck, and it is a great place to escape and take in the views. The downside to the rental was not the house itself but the per person fees that were required for the week. We ended up having to spend more than $700 USD on fees in addition to the cost of the rental. This is a bit much, especially as there were also a number of actions we had to complete at departure.
Overall, the house is in a great location and comfortably housed 9 people. We would certainly consider staying there again but would better understand the fees prior to booking.
The Chalet is in good location. Good condition and very convenient. Logistics worked good. We felt convenient warm and satisfied with the facilities. Two notes: 1. Authorities do not scrap/deice the road from main street so you must use chains to climb to door-step. 2. Maintenance cost are non-proportional high. More than 200CHF for laundring few towels and mattresses?
