Our first impression of the property was a little disappointing, it was very dark and smelled a little musty. The refrigerator had not been switched on and took 24 hours to cool which was annoying because we had fresh meat and refrigerated items. The overall feeling was that the property had not been used for some time, although the availability calendar showed that it had been fully booked for weeks. The large blinds in the kitchen area were a little damaged and so we tried to leave those alone as not to further damage them. After raising them in order to brighten up the property we noticed that a large fly net was missing which was a necessity due to mosquitos. The bedrooms again were very dark and warm due to the nature of the wood panelling, but we knew this would be the case as the photo's showed similar wood finish in other areas of the house. Again it was a little bit disappointing to find holes in the one of the bedroom fly nets as we needed all windows open due to the heat. Although we were not planning on watching any television during our stay we did discover that the very dated TV was not working but was replaced within 24 hours of this issue being reported. We were also supplied with 2 large free standing fans which were a great help. The Interhome staff who arranged the key collection were very helpful in solving all problems after being reported. The location was very good and the local amenities were excellent, I think after we aired out and arranged the property to our liking it was a pleasent place to stay, and the surrounding garden area was very good but once again a little dated and needed cleaning. I think one expects a holiday property to be prepared, fresh and up to date when spending a good deal of money on it, but as we found it was a little disappointing. However if you are prepared to spend a little time 'fixing up' and making do with what is on offer you could have a good time in this property as we did. There is a cleaning charge at the end of the holiday which should benefit the next arrival, but as we found the amount you pay does not reflect the arrival state. Would we stay in this property again? No, probably not, but we would come back to this area and again we could not fault the Interhome staff and their helpfulness.
