Welcome to the Paradise Found at North Pointe Condominiums in the beautiful Cayman Kai / Rum Point area of Grand Cayman Island. Paradise Found offers a Tropical Vacation with some of the best Scuba Diving and Snorkeling in the Caribbean. Don’t be fooled by the claims of “Ocean Front” or “Ocean Views”. Many of the condo rentals in the Rum Point and Cayman Kai area are on the inland side of the island and water views are of the inland sound. You won’t find the waves crashing the shore here or the tropical breeze that blows constantly from the ocean side. Paradise Found is truly ocean front. See our photo gallery for views from the condo. The condominium complex was completely destroyed by hurricane Ivan in 2004 and has been completely rebuilt from the ground up, inside and out, and completed in August of 2006. The new construction is solid concrete walls and ceilings. The place is beautiful and the ocean views are spectacular from all rooms of the condo.
Description: The condominium complex was completely destroyed by hurricane Ivan in 2004 and has been completely rebuilt from the ground up, inside and out. The new construction is solid concrete walls and ceilings between the lower and second floors which provides a soundproofing barrier between the condo units. The ocean view is spectacular. Paradise Found Condo is one of only ten units in the complex and is an end unit. It is a beach front unit with spectacular ocean views from all rooms. This area is perfect for snorkeling just off the beach over coral formations with its beautiful colors, tropical fish, conch and lobster. You can enjoy the oceanfront pool and just relax or take long walks on the white sand beach. You will love the beautiful ocean views of Paradise Found in Grand Cayman Island. Paradise Found is a quiet luxury oceanfront condo located in the upscale Cayman Kai / Rum Point area on the North Side of Grand Cayman.
Highlights: There are many dive sites on the North Side to accommodate your diving pleasures. Sting Ray City is only a 10-minute boat ride away where you can dive and hand feed the stingrays. Dive the Cayman Barrier Reef, which is only a few hundred yards from your doorstep. Our 2nd floor, Luxury End Unit, 1250 square feet and accommodates up to 6 guests. It has 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Both bedrooms have ocean views with sliding glass doors opening to a open air lanai with yet another beautiful ocean view. The condo has central air, ceiling fans throughout, beach front pool, lanai, cable TV, VCR, CD, stereo, dish washer, washer/dryer, BBQ, linens, towels and complete kitchen with full size refrigerator and freezer with ice maker, blender, toaster, coffee maker and microwave. The kitchen has beautiful granite counter tops throughout. The living room has ocean views with vaulted ceilings and opens to the lanai. The ocean views are breathtaking from about every room in the condo.
Meant to have sent this sooner but we were right back at school when we returned and had to get ready for classes. We had a super time and will be back. What a great island and we loved the area where the condo is so much more than the other hubbub of seven mile beach. It was a fantastic family vacation! Ironically enough the folks downstairs were a family from Maine as well!
Thank you again,
We stayed at Paradise Found at the end of August and had a wonderful time. The condo was beautiful, very spacious and provided everything we needed- we just brought the groceries! Loved the upper unit and view out the back. We appreciated the location which was very quiet but, at the same time it was close enough to Rum Point to not feel isolated. Enjoyed the enclosed patio for lounging too.
As my title mentions, there is great snorkeling all around Grand Cayman and there is great snorkeling straight out the back of the property. Yes, you have to swim over some sea grass, I didn't mind this. The entry into the water is rocky just be careful. You can clearly see the reef's edge looking out at the beach (where the waves break)- so, swim most of the way toward it and you will find some beautiful coral formations and a lot of beautiful fish. Looking straight out from back of condo units, the coral formations location is at about 11 o'clock. They may be everywhere, that's just where we found some great ones. We made the easy drive to Rum Point and snorkeled, went to Stingray City (from RedSail sports)- which I loved because we somehow managed to be the only boat there at the time and had all the stingrays to our little group of 10! We also did a short snorkel stop afterwards. It was "ok" but, it was starting to thunderstorm so, I think we didn't really make it to the spot we were suppose to go to. We drove to Spott's Beach to see the Sea Turtles. It was too windy to snorkel that day but the turtles were there and you could see their heads bobbing up briefly (9-11 & 3-5 high times for turts). We drove to Eden Rock dive center 2 times and snorkeled right off the back of their center. If you pay them a small tip, it helps them keep the area up and then you have parking and access. At Eden Rock, we saw a couple of stingrays, several barracuda, little squid, a very large lobster, lots of fish and we did see a reef shark which had zero interest in us- thankfully. Quick snorkel trip to the pier at The Reef/ Morritt's. Huge fish hang around there and swim all around you. We need to return to visit the places that we couldn't get to.
We were only disappointed about one thing. There was a very large amount of plastic washed up on the beaches. The condo beach was kept clean but, on either side of condo beach and other areas there was too much. It was sad to see there wasn't a larger effort to keep them clean by the island and utilize recycling more.
We enjoyed our stay at North Point Condos for the week in early July. The two bedroom condo was more than spacious for the two of us and there were just enough kitchen supplies to cook for the week. The AC kept us nice and cool. Long and private feeling beach for walks and beach combing. Good reef for snorkeling just out front of the condo, watch out for the lion fish! The wifi had a small outage our first day but management came right out and reset the modem for us. Easy and short drive to rum point but not too many restaurants close by. Closest grocery store is 25-30 minutes away. Pool was never crowded and the local cats were very friendly.
Amazing condo, ocean front, great view, saltwater pool. We will be back for sure. Hopefully soon!
Thanks for the memories!
We have stayed on 7 mile beach numerous times and wanted to try something different. This was perfect, quiet, secluded, but still not that far from the action. Very nice condo, maybe the only complaint, and this is very small, is that the bedding and towels are a little worn. Other than that we would definitely stay there again!!
We have used rentals from owners for vacations for years. Europe, within the U.S. and also in St. Croix and now Grand Cayman, This beautiful condo has all one needs at any age to fulfill whatever dreams or long lasting memories you wish to have. Whether the day is blustery and the waves and wind give you another flavor for an exciting day, or whether the sea is mild and beckoning, enchantment greeted us every morning. Snorkeling right outside our condo with easy access to the coral reef. The beach is maintained to be hard shell and litter free: white and smooth as glass. The pool was fun for some short laps to cool off before sunbathing. The restaurants nearby were affordable for Grand Cayman. The food, or cuisine if you like, was mouth watering. The snapper was always fresh and delectable. I had time to read a few books for the first time in years. We rented a car and hit different beaches . We have always done that to experience the whole of the island experience. We also drove to seven mile beach, found free convenient parking, and walked to the long beautiful major tourist beach. Lovely to check it out. Also, part of the experience. Shopping at the local "craft" open air shops was fun, and we got a chance to meet the real dwellers of GC. Fun and they were willing to bargain with me. (This is where the BIG ships and cruise lines dock offshore.) But, we always preferred and enjoyed returning to our condo commode where we found chilled wine and fruit in our refrigerator. Thanks for a lovely time, Jack. Kevin
We enjoyed the condo, it was clean and had everything we needed for our week stay. The bedrooms are separated with a king and queen bed. Perfect place for two couples. The location was wonderful if you like quiet and privacy. There are restaurants close by so finding a place to eat was no problem. Jack the owner was very nice and responded to all my inquiries.
I would definitely go back to Grand Cayman and stay at Paradise Found.
We are on the ocean. NOT the bay like many others.
