Beautiful house with very nice staff
Leo and her son was incredible. They cooked very good food and kept the place very clean
Beautiful views! Wonderful staff!
This is an incredible location. Within walking distance of downtown Puerto Vallarta. It is not for the weak though. The uphill is quite steep. I wouldn't want to rent a car here. The streets are very narrow. We were able to get taxis quite easily to the Port. Eduardo arranged a private boat tour for our group.
The home is in bad need of repair. A door fell off the hinges and a chair had already been repaired many times. The owner could put a little more into this property for it's maintenance and it would be perfect. The staff keeps the place well cleaned and the meals are to die for! The cook is amazing. We let her surprise us each meal with authentic Mexican dishes. It truly made our vacation!
I wouldn't feel comfortable having very young children here as the fence on the veranda is rickety and it is quite high. The streets are not at all stroller friendly. It was great for my family though of 6 children 20-years-old to 7 and some very hip Grandparents.
Thanks for your review,
We have the best reviews in Puerto
Vallarta. The problem we have with
repairs unless the guests lets the
staff know of a problem, it won't be
fixed until the house manager arrives.
Great Stay...With Some Issues
The staff is amazing! Terrific individuals and fine food. We were not left wanting anything, what we asked for, we got and then some.
The location is great, very close to everything. Lots of stairs in the house and up and down the streets to and from the center of town. Small shops for beer and snacks right around the corner. Fireworks every night and great sunsets. You are in the middle of the city so city noise is always around you, that was no issue for us. The clock tower on the church was always ringing and loud though at all hours.
The house is very nice, but could use some maintenance. We did not have hot water in the top floor bedroom, we had to use other showers for the 10 days we were there. The kitchen could use a makeover, it's not terrible, it just need some work. We bought and left a new coffee maker, the old one was just awful. The beds were very hard and I mean very hard, and need to be replaced. There were 8 of us there and not one of us could say anything good about the beds. The pool was very nice to have and we used it everyday.
The biggest issue we had was what we were charged. When we booked online, VRBO gave us an amount to pay, no problem. The issue was the Owner contacted us to say we did not pay the "extra" for over 6 guests. We booked through VRBO, so VRBO told us what to pay, but the Owners told us we had to pay $600.00 US more than what VRBO charged us. If we did not like that, they offered to cancel our booking. The Owner claims that there is a clause on the VRBO page that notes groups over 6 pay an extra. I challenged them to find it and read it to me while we were on the telephone. They could not find it, nor could I, nor could VRBO. $600.00 split between 8 was not an insurmountable amount to pay, so we paid it.
Overall would we go back, yes, especially for the staff and the location.
Wish we could have stayed longer...
A wonderful house for a family vacation. I just spent 5 nights with my wife, 2 children and 2 sisters. The main floor is an exceptional space to spend time together and the staff is amazing. Leo and her family are all fantastic and all food and service was top-notch. Would absolutely stay here again.
Thank you for your wonderfully review. Greatly appreciated.
Perfect for our 2 families!
There were 8 adults that stay Labor day weekend 2017. We had an amazing stay. The villa was perfectly located. A nice easy walk to the malicon. The staff were more than accommodating. Leon (female) makes the best chicken enchiladas. In fact everything she made was Great! The only negative is there is no air conditioning, and this may have been my fault for not noticing when I booked but we were all happy and would stay there again. The price is more then right for what you Get! Huge home!! 20 + people can sleep. Thank you Jerry for being there with all my questions. This was our first experience with a VRBO and would do this again!!
We Loved the Whole Experience!
This was a great place to stay! The perfect place for a family vacation. The view and location were truly amazing and the kids loved swimming in the pool every evening after a long day of exploring Puerto Vallarta. We created great friendships with Leo (the cook) and her family. They were a source a good conversation and insight, and the meals they created were authentic and delicious. We miss being there already and will be back again soon. Thank you!
