For a good idea of what you’ll experience, please read our REVIEWS. Our guests keep coming back because we offer great value and a quality experience in a dynamic but quiet neighbourhood, close to downtown and has many of Montreal’s top restaurants.

Gallery 2 is in a meticulously restored century old building close to downtown and minutes from the subway (Metro), the Atwater Market and the historic Lachine Canal. An ideal home away from home for anyone that wants to be in one of the most dynamic villages in Montreal.

This 2 bedroom second floor unit is bright and sleeps 4 to 6. Finished with hardwood floors, it is spotlessly clean & tastefully decorated with original art, high quality furnishings, linens & appointments throughout. Lots of natural light, fans in every room and AC unit. It features a master bedroom with a queen size sleigh bed and 1 bedroom with 2 single beds. The den has a sofa with a double pull out bed. Also in the den there is a flat screen TV and a collection of DVD’s from our library of over 100 movies for all ages. We also offer cable TV and high speed wifi internet available throughout the apartment.

The bathroom has a deep tub perfect to relax after a good day of sightseeing and is equipped with a front loading washer & dryer. The dining room is beside the all equipped kitchen with dishwasher that leads out to a very large deck with two patio sets and two BBQ’s (Gallery 1 shares the deck with you). The deck is next to a beautiful rooftop garden. All our units also come stocked with books and board games. Called the GALLERY 2 because this is 1 of 3 units in the building that is located next to our neighbour Jane private art gallery & studio.

Our other units in the same building are Gallery 1 (#211812) & Gallery 3 (#193135)

Good food is just steps away at the deluxe IGA grocery store or the delicious Atwater market where you can savor gourmet foods, pastries and deli style food. If you prefer to eat out, we are a few minutes walking from some of Montreal’s top restaurants (Joe Beef, Tuck Shop, H4C, Smoking Vallee, CHO, McKiernans, Magnans Tavern) or if you prefer a drink in a hip setting there is La Drinkerie, Burgundy Lion, Grumman 78, Ludger.

Aside from fine dining, there are many things to do in this area. Depending on the season, you could catch a famous Canadians hockey game at the Bell Center, go rock climbing at Allez-Up indoor rock climbing gym or rent a kayak and paddle on the Lachine Canal.

You can also walk or cycle on the Lachine Canal bike path which is just 15 minutes by bike to the Old Port and Old Montreal. Note that you can leave your bikes at home because we provide 4 adult bikes free of charge with helmet and locks based on a first come first serve system. Finally, for small children and family there is a nice park with playground and splash pad just one block away.

Great area, good restaurants and we are very close to the subway system (called Metro) downtown reachable in minutes just a couple of station away.

Very close to the Atwater market where there is great food and restaurants. We are also minutes from the Canal Lachine which has great bike paths and walking areas that lead to the Old Port of Montreal.

What makes this apartment unique

Proximity to downtown / Old Montreal, walking distance to the Atwater market, Metro (subway) Place St-Henri, grocery store, lot of really good restaurants and nice pubs.

Perfectly located in a vibrant neighbourhood to come and enjoy the real Montreal experience!

We loved everything about this charming apartment! The owner was so easy to deal with, and very accessible to answer all questions. He even took time to install the air conditioner while getting ready to leave the province for his son's wedding! The apartment is immaculate, meticulously maintained and well equipped for everything you need. The outdoor deck and barbecue were a huge bonus, as was the washer and dryer. Beds were very comfortable and the deep soaker tub (with shower) was lovely. The only thing I'd ever add to this great place is a small coffee table in the sitting room - so we could have a place to lay our glass of wine at the end of the day! The location is excellent as well - this was my first visit to Montreal, on a cross-country trip, and it is quite easy to access travelling east on the Trans Canada Highway. It is just around the corner from a Metro stop, which was wonderful to visit all parts of Montreal. Lots of great little restaurants in the area as well - we ate at the Greenspot Diner (good diner food) and The Burgundy Lion Pub (amazing menu! highly recommended). There is also an IGA just up the road, great for supplies. And also quite close to the great Atwater Market, which we really enjoyed visiting. The canal is very nearby also, and is great for walking. We stayed 4 nights in Gallery #2 apartment, and would very definitely return. We highly recommend staying here!

Quiet street in great location!

Great apartment! Very clean and well kept. Many thanks to John and Jane for their warm welcome and supply of fresh Montreal bagels! The owners were always available if needed. Well organized local information and wireless internet on site. Quiet location close to Atwater Market, the Lachine canal, and downtown. Recently renovated and plenty of space for our 16 month old to roam. We visit Montreal often and the apartment was perfect for our family gathering (fully equipped kitchen). We're planning to rent the unit again for upcoming visits.

Great location

Have stayed at this property on numerous occasions. It's a great location, close to the metro, Atwater, Marche, IGA, canal. It is very clean and quiet. Great for family or couples. Etienne is a good host.

AS ALWAYS A FANTASTIC MONTREAL GEM!

This isn't our first stay nor will it be our last! We have friends from out of town who also frequent one of the three spots in the same complex and we are so happy that we found this gem right in the heart of Montreal. All three spots are perfect if you are looking to feel at home, close to a metro, great eating spots close by, great grocery store less than 10 mins on foot, just about in the heart of downtown, legendary Atwater Market and coming from someone who grew up in Montreal I knew the things that would make a stay memorable and this one hits all the marks hands down.

Excellent first trip and stay in Montreal. Loved it all!

Completely accurate description of everything at the apartment. The cooking pans had seen a better day, but were sufficient and all other dishes and needed utensils were fine. Terrific to have a dishwasher and nice washer and drier! Also used the outdoor grill, which was great also. The metro (subway) was a few minute walk, and a few more steps had us at a good supermarket. Between those and the nearby, fabulous, Atwater Market, we never touched the car for a whole week, except to move for street cleaning for a few hours. Unless you are used to extremely upscale living, can't live without 2 toilets/baths, or can not handle a somewhat steep flight of stairs to get to the living space, you should love this place. We had 3 adults/seniors who stayed for a week and wish we could have stayed for two!!

Awesome property

My husband and I loved this wonderful 2 bedroom apartment located in a quiet neighborhood, close to many cafes, shops, and Atwater Market. We walked everywhere from there: downtown, to Old Town, and to the museums, and the metro is close by for longer destinations. Everything you would need to cook a meal is provided, although we enjoyed eating at the nearby cafes. We enjoyed sitting on the deck outside to relax in early evening. There was plenty of space inside, where we enjoyed hanging out after a full day of sightseeing.

I would highly recommend this apartment and would stay here again if ever in Montreal.
