About Charlie Roame

I was born in the state of Tennessee but moved away many years ago. When my vacation time came around I decided to go back to my home state. I chose to rent a log home and immediately fell in love with the beauty & craftmanship of the logs. I found that they offered a sense of peace and tranquility which I've never known. I can't think of anything more peacefull then sitting by the fireplace and reading a book.

Charlie Roame purchased this chalet in 2005

Why Charlie Roame chose Sevierville

The location of the home is in close proximity to the Great Smoky Mountains and offers awesome views.

beautiful home

  • 5 of 5

It's a beautiful home. The area was not far from many things. the driveway was a little tight at the top but we managed. We had an issue with the sink faucet leaking and the coffee pot quit working. We dealt with the leak and the manager brought us a new pot, which we ended up not needing cause we gave the old one a good cleaning and it started working again. I saw the for sale signs but I would prompt the owner or manager to give the outside a good pressure wash cleaning, and get it sprayed. there were a lot of little bees around, dog got stung. And there seems to be an issue with carpenter ants or wood bores, (didn't see them) but the wood in some areas has little piles of sawdust under it. All in all though we had a great vacation.

Cozy, spacious mountainside villa

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here on a recent girls trip and had a wonderful time. The home is spacious yet cozy and well equipped. Lovely porches to sit out on to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Beds were very comfortable. Secluded setting, yet not too far from restaurants, shopping, and the beautiful Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The owner was very responsive to any questions and concerns we had. Be aware that it is a little challenging to find and there is a steep driveway- definitely follow the owner’s directions instead of your Google Maps app which got us lost. But once you’re there, you’ll be glad you chose this lovely place to stay! Highly recommend.

Quite slice of Heaven

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay! We had 4 adults and 3 kids. The property was perfect for two families! We only needed to bring food! Everything else was already in place. We had a few questions when staying, but Lucky and Charlie were quick to respond! The ability to go to the community pool was a big perk! The only thing I noticed was the hot tub at the house needs more chlorine (or whatever is used), it had a mildew smell to it. Thanks for sharing this wonderful property with our families!

Stairway to Heaven

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at the house. The view was great and the house was very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will probably be back next year. The only issue I had was that the owner graduated from The University of Michigan. Go Bucks!!!!

WEEK IN THE MOUNTAINS

  • 4 of 5

The house was great, a little off the beaten path but nice. Everything we needed was there for us, all we needed was food. In spite of rain everyday we had a great time.
