Great property and location

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at this property in Tahoe Donner. Nice, quiet street without distractions. House is stocked with everything you need. Kitchen had literally everything, including lots of items for kids to eat from. Very roomy home with space to spread out. Outside had plenty of room to play in snow and the large garage served as a good base. It was nice to be able to park our car inside in the Winter season. Mudroom inside the front door helped keep the place clean. I would have liked to turn the fireplace up a bit more, the flame level was a little low for heat output. Central Heating worked just fine though and we were comfortable even in a pretty big storm. Roads were plowed regularly and driveway had been cleared prior to our arrival. Would definitely stay here again.

Tahoe Donner Family Trip

  • 5 of 5

The house had a great set up, very comfortable for two families. The kids loved the bunk beds. And it was nice having the second guest bedroom near the kids room so we could hear our 5 year old daughter if she woke in the night. It was clean and well maintained, the heater worked very well and the fireplace stove was great for warming up on the cold days. The garage easily stored 2 cars. The owners are great and very responsive. I would definitely recommend this home and we hope to come again!

Everything you could want at an affordable price

  • 4 of 5

Our two families had a great time at this well stocked cabin. The open floor plan is very conducive to entertaining (which we did with a few other friends one night), the kitchen has every conceivable device and serving ware one can imagine- possibly to a (minor) fault- that being the complete lack of cabinet space to store your groceries. The gas fireplace worked well , the beds were comfy (except the futon in the loft) and the only amenity we wished for was a Jacuzzi hot tub outside to soothe our sore muscles after skiing but then the house wouldn't have been as affordable, right? We will stay here again for sure. Thanks John!

2 Great nights at Tahoe-Donner

  • 5 of 5

The house is perfect for 2 families or a group of friends.

There are many things for the kids to do. The bunk beds provide a lot of entertainment for kids as well as the games and dvds stocked at the house. The garage also had sleds which the kids enjoyed.

For cooking, the kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, griddle, etc. You'll need to bring butter though if you need it for cooking. There is olive oil and plenty of spices. Bring coffee if you need to use the coffee maker. There is a grinder for whole beans.

The fireplace gets the house plenty warm, especially at upstairs. We preheated the house in the evenings when we came back and then turned it off overnight. We didn't have to set the heater on and kept it low at 60.

Overall, a great rental.

Tahoe Donner Holiday Over New Year's 2014

  • 5 of 5

The house was perfect for our two families (each 2 adults plus 2 kids). It was clean and well maintained. Kitchen had lots of dishes, pots, casserole dishes, serviceable knives, nice coffee maker, etc. Garage had sleds for the kids. The home is very comfortable in a great location and the owner was efficient and helpful. I'd recommend this home to anyone visiting the area.

Great cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We had 5 adults and 4 kids and there was plenty of room for everyone. Very spacious. Location is amazing - right in Donner - and an added plus was having the cabin on a very quiet street. Lots of space outside for snow play. Fully stocked with supplies and kitchen necessities. Beautiful home. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit the area.
