AS INFORMATION: Currently there is a construction project across the street on the east side of this property which began in November 2017. Posted rates have been adjusted in consideration of any and all potential construction related issues.

Tortuga is a 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom luxury home in the town of Rosemary Beach along beautiful highway 30A. It has expansive indoor and outdoor spaces as well as a private heated pool and spa. With 3,900 square feet indoors and just 100 yards down the boardwalk to the beach, this home is a cut above the rest for a family vacation. There are 3 levels inside of this lovely home, accommodating up to 10 guests. The main level features a living room, fully equipped gourmet kitchen with seating for 11 guests, and a Queen bedroom with a full private bathroom. Just to the right of the living area is the laundry room and another full bathroom, which has access to the courtyard where you can rinse off after a day at the beach. The 2nd level features a large, comfortable living area and two Queen bedrooms, each with a full private bathroom. There is also a bunkroom, which includes twin over twin built in bunk beds. The 3rd level of Tortuga features a suite style master bedroom with a King bed, sitting area, wet bar, private access to the home’s third floor balcony, and a luxurious bathroom featuring a glass enclosed shower, deep soaking tub and double vanity. The main level has a wrap around covered porch with ample seating for guests to relax in the shade, as well as a gathering area around the outdoor fireplace. The second and third levels of the home have their own balconies for viewing sunsets or enjoying a glass of wine. Tortuga is in a perfect location for walking to the Town Center for shopping and dining at local restaurants, or taking a bike ride to nearby areas such as Seacrest Beach or Alys Beach!

so close to paradise

It was the perfect place for our family to gather...room to be together and still have privacy...2 minute walk to the beach and just steps from the Rosemary center...perfect location and the ease of beach living...hope to return here!

Great House for a Big Family or Multiple Families

We had a fabulous stay in Tortuga! The location was perfect for the pool, beach, morning coffee and the center of town. Our only complaint was the construction, especially for our small children needing afternoon naps. Of course, that should be completed soon so it's not a long term issue but did cause a few headaches. I would recommend that the homeowner consider adding hooks to the outside pillars in order to hang wet beach towels (and, maybe a few more in the inside bathrooms for wet shower towels). Other than that, the house was beautiful, comfortable and practical. We did a lot of cooking and really appreciated how many platters, dishes, pans, etc. were in the kitchen. Thank you for the hospitality! We can't wait to return to Rosemary in 2017!

Great Rosemary Beach House! UNBEATABLE LOCATION!!!

We had a wonderful vacation at the Tortuga House in Rosemary Beach. You can not beat the location of this home: Just a very short walk to anything in Rosemary and of course the beach. The house is fantastic and includes everything you need for an enjoyable week! We come to Rosemary every year and this is now one of our favorites! We hope to book again soon!

Awesome Beach Trip!!! Fun, fun, fun!!!

The house was spacious and well equipped. Plenty of room for our family. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and the pool. Excellent access to the beach and also close to the neighborhood pool. The house is close to several neighborhood restaurants and shops. Management company was helpful with recommendations. We had one maintenance issue, made a call to the number posted at the house and the problem was addressed almost immediately. We did not experience issues with appliances as mentioned in previous review. There is construction nearby but didn't experience any issues. We had a great time and hope to return soon.

I personally went through the house prior to your arrival and found none of the issues mentioned in the previous review existed except for a single slow sink drain(issue was a plumbing design and has been corrected). Sometimes it is difficult for guest to adjust to operational procedures when dealing with an appliance different from what they may have at home. In most cases we can resolve those issues with a phone call if given the opportunity. I hope you will consider us again for your next beach trip.

Renter Beware

Unbeknownst to us, this vacation rental was directly across from a construction site of a small hotel. The rental agent never disclosed this to us and we paid top dollar.We were woken up at 7:30 every morning but Sunday to construction trucks beeping, hammering, drilling and construction workers all around. We were unable to sit and enjoy the patio or felt comfortable using the pool we paid to heat. On top of that, the cooktop did not work properly, the oven didn't even light, the grill was disgustingly dirty and hard to light, the pots and pans were in horrible condition, the dryer took about 4 cycles and still didn't even dry the cloths and the drains in the top floor bathroom didn't drain.Quite frankly, the condition of the house, both in cleanliness and quality of amenities was very disappointing to say the least. We were there with a huge wedding and many people rented houses, they could not believe the condition and issues with our house. The rental agent , when contacted about the construction, did nothing to rectify the situation. I expected some sort of compensation and got none. I would not want anyone else to have to experience the annoyance of the construction after having spent good money for a nice quite vacation. It should have been disclosed and rented at a discounted rate. This is not even including the fact that it wasn't in top condition.

Owner's Response: I am disappointed that you did not enjoy your visit. The industry standard practice does not provide discounts related to construction as those factors are considered when rates are determined. Construction can start at anytime and we are not consulted nor notified of a project beginning. Actual work times are limited to 8am-6pm. We encourage potential guest to ask about construction prior to booking. We will gladly provide any available information. Our rental agreement is provided to the guest of record and contains provisions to address any and all cleaning and maintenance issues. Phone numbers are communicated in multiple formats. All issues should be reported during guest stay in order to be addressed and resolved. Often issues can be resolved with a simple informative phone call. I hope that if you return to our lovely area you will find a house and management company that might better meet your needs. If anyone has questions regarding this review you may contact me with any concerns you may have. In addition I would direct you to the previous reviews of this property.
