Located 200 meters from the Caribbean and situated on the corner of the famed 5th Avenue and calle 38, VIa 38 is the newest high end development in Playa del Carmen. It is not only its 83 ft long swimming pool and its lounge areas, but the gym, the gardens and the atmosphere are unique. Via 38 is surrounded by all the restaurants and shops you might need during your vacations.

This outstanding 3 level penthouse has 3 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and 1 studio. It was furnished, decorated and equipped with every amenity you could think of including Internet, Nintendo Wii and a small movie collection. On the 1st floor there is a living room, dining room, kitchen and studio where a nice sofa bed can sleep 1 person. The 2nd floor has 3 bedrooms with 1 king, and 2 bedrooms each with 2 double beds. Each bedroom has its own individual air conditioning as well as full private bath. The roof deck with jacuzzi and BBQ is a plus for sunbathing, lounging or sharing a nice evening.

There are 2 parking spaces in an enclosed garage underneath the condo. The garage, as well as the rest of the property, is gated with 24 hour security guards. The guards are completely unnecessary however, they are a wonderful convenience whenever you are transporting luggage or groceries to the condo. They are really friendly and are super sweet with children. They are more than happy to help you with anything that you need.

  • There are 3 bedrooms located at C-15, Via 38. All the bedrooms are located on the second floor away from any gathering spot and noise. The rooms have individual air conditioning - central a/c - very quiet. They also have ceiling fans for those that do not wish to have air conditioning. The curtains are electric and provide complete privacy. For added darkness - even complete blackout - you can pull shut the outdoor metal shutters. This will create a dark cave-like facility for those that like it completely black.

Beautiful Place!

Great location, very quite and almost on 5th Ave. The bedrooms and baths are very large and the beds very comfortable. Extremely clean, daily maid service. Linens and towels, excellent. There is a security guard at the entrance 24 hours a day. We never felt uncomfortable anywhere we went in Playa, even late at night. The roof deck is very comfortable and has a hot tub. The view to the sea is small. The common areas are spotless lovely pool and 2 more hot tubs in the common area. There is no elevator, so must be able to walk stairs. The kitchen looked well stocked, but we ate out every meal. Lots of restaurants very close. The beach is a 2-3 minute easy walk.

We were so glad we stayed here!

Great location, Great apartment, Great service

Couldn't have wishes for a better place to stay in Playa.

Apartment was in a great location very close to all the restaurants and 5th Ave but tucked away so very quiet. Although secure parking is available a car is not needed due to the close proximity to the shops, restaurants/bars and beach. It is exactly as described, and excellently maintained, very clean and maid service came daily. Unlimited fresh drinking water is provided. The roof top terrace pictured is fantastic, very private and for exclusive use by the occupants of the apartment. The service was very good, from my initial enquiry, to booking and payment, by both the owner and management company. Pick up from Cancun was arranged for us, and we were met on arrival to be shown round.

The apartment is very clean, and spacious with all mod-cons, and air conditioning included. Service couldn't have been better, the owner arrived on the day we were leaving and even went out for lunch to enable us to continue to use the apartment until late afternoon, when we were leaving for a long haul flight.

Will certainly stay here again if we return to Playa and will be recommending to friends here in the UK.

Amazin stay in Playa A++

Our family stayed at Phil's condo for two weeks over New Years and it was by far our favourite vacation in recent years. The condo and entire Via38 complex is in immaculate shape, with daily cleaning service. We spent our days lounging by the pool (which is an oasis of peace from bustling 5th avenue) and also down on the beach which is a 2min walk from the condo. The condo has four full bathrooms and is ideal setup for anyone staying with a large family. There's also a magnificent private rooftop with a full-size Weber grill as well as a hot tub; we spent many evenings relaxing up there. All of the support staff as well as concierge Heidi were superb (I recommend booking a trip to Xcaret park as well as fishing trip with one of the local fishermen). Some of the best restaurants in Playa are within a couple of minutes of the condo, you definitely won't need a car. Highly recommended and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Girls weekend

The property was great despite the pool was under renovation. We were a group of 3 college friends meeting for a girls getaway and we loved the fact that each of us had our own bedroom with its own bathroom. The rooftop deck was great with the hot tub. The cleaning service was a 10+!!

Perfect place to stay, awesome location just footsteps from 5th ave where you find good people watching and all sorts of entertainment for every budget and the beach. The condo is perfectly well kept as well as the pool grounds. Definitely reccomend it and would stay here again.

Great stay made for an awesome vacation!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week's stay. This is a luxurious and spacious condominium. The entire complex is secure, well-maintained and very beautiful. The center courtyard pool area is stunning. The rooftop has a view of the ocean across to Cozumel, and great gas barbeque set-up. Relaxing in the hot tub under the stars at night was wonderful. Staff very friendly. Concierge service from Heidi and Heraldo was first class; they helped us book three great tours and a rental car. Just a five-minute walk down a quiet street to a white sand beach and blue Caribbean water. While the location is quiet, you are close to where the pedestrian-only 5th Ave. shopping, restaurant, and nightclub area begins. So many things to do in the area, from laying on the beach, shopping, snorkeling, climbing Mayan ruins, or swimming in the underground "cenotes." Four(!) full spacious bathrooms make this an ideal place for a group or family. Full kitchen and laundry. It was hard to leave!

Car: recommended

Located on the famed 5th avenue. Via 38 offers an on the spot location to some of the finest restaurants, night clubs, shops, hotels not only in the Mayan Riviera but in all of Mexico as well. Playa del Carmen is the fastest growing city in Latin America and VIa 38 is located at the heart of some of the finest International and cosmopolitan businesses. Touted as the next Miami beach - take a stroll from your residence up 5th ave, (aka La Quinta) as far as you are able! La Quinta ends at the ferry to Cozumel. You could also walk two blocks down 38 to the beautiful and pristine waters of the Caribbean.
