Trendy loft in Hackney approx. 130 qm, 30 min from Piccadilly Circus by underground. Ideal for families or groups with 6-7 persons or two families who like to spent their holidays in one loft. The loft has two separate bedrooms with 1 queen size bed each, two bathrooms and a huge living room with an open ktichen and dining corner and a look at the upstairs gallery where 2-3 additional persons can sleep. The holiday home went into the market in April 2013.

Great place, no wifi

Beautiful, bright and spacious loft, well equipped and well situated. The only problem was the Wifi: the hotspot didn't work. Fortunately, the owner was able to propose us a work-around solution from the second day on. Still, it should be made more explicit in the offer that free wifi is not included.

Good location but not well maintained

Good location with many reasonably priced ethnic restaurants and public transportation nearby. Unit appears to have electrical problems. There was no power in the second bedroom and flickering lights elsewhere. Notified manager who took more than two days to respond and then sent someone without calling. Carpet is stained and worn and overall cleanliness left something to be desired.

Owner's Response: We had been in the holiday home in October 2016 and we exchanged the carpet, ordered a professional cleaning and repaired all electrical damages. So the flat has been returned in a good condition. For us it is important that the guest are always satisfied.

Schönes Loft, gute Lage, nicht guter Service

Wir haben das Loft in Hackney mit 2 Erwachsenen und unseren 3 Söhnen besucht. Die Aufteilung der Zimmer ist gut. Auf der 1. Etage sind 2 Schlafzimmer und die 2 Badezimmer. In der zweiten Etage sind das Wohnzimmer und die offene Küche. Die Galerie im 3. Stock bietet eine Schlafgelegenheit für 3 Personen durch ein Klappbett und ein Doppelbett; dort lässt sich kein Fenster öffnen und es kann sehr warm werden.

Die übrigen Etagen haben sehr große Fenster, wodurch das Loft Lichtdurchflutet ist. Die umliegenden Gebäude sind weit genug entfernt, so dass die Aussicht gut ist.

Die Eingangstür ist aus Klarglas und gibt den Einblick auf den Weg zwischen Schlafzimmer und ein Badezimmer frei – das war für uns eher ungewohnt. Die von innen auf die Eingangstür gerichtete Sicherheitskamera ebenfalls. Wir wissen nicht, wer diese Bilder sieht.

Die Lage ist gut! An der Buslinie 76 waren wir in 5 Minuten, die uns zwischen 30 – 60 Minuten, je nach Verkehrslage, in die City brachte. Besonders von den oberen Busdecks hatten wir eine tolle Aussicht.

Den Kleiderschrank im großen Schlafzimmer konnten wir nicht nutzen, weil sich dort die schmutzige Wäsche in mehreren Stoffsäcken stapelte. Auch alle anderen Schränke und Kommoden im Haus incl. der Küchenschränke sind mit allerlei Krimskram gefüllt. Die Wohnung ist bewohnt und wirkte unaufgeräumt.

Sehr ärgerlich war das fehlende Internet. Es bestand aus einem 30-minütigen Zugang zu einem öffentlichen Hotspot. Danach war dieser, trotz vorheriger Nachfrage, kostenpflichtig. Der Hotspot war teuer und sehr instabil. Häufig war über Stunden keine Verbindung möglich. Nicht alle unsere Geräte konnten überhaupt eine Verbindung aufbauen. Hätten wir das vorher gewusst, hätten wir uns einen stabilen Tarif über unsere Mobilfunkanbieter gebucht.

Da die Sicherheitskamera ans Internet angeschlossen ist und 2 aktive WLAN-Verbindungen angezeigt wurden, scheint eine funktionierende Internetleitung vorhanden zu sein, die aber nicht zugänglich gemacht wird. Im Angebot wird ein aktives WLAN explizit angegeben. Wir sind sehr verärgert, da wir etwas anderes erwartet haben. Dazu kommen verschiedene Kleinigkeiten, die den guten Eindruck der Wohnung zunichtemachen.

Jeder Versuch mit dem Vermieter oder der Verwalterin eine Verbesserung der Situation in Bezug auf die schmutzige Wäsche im Kleiderschrank oder das Internet zu erreichen, war erfolglos. Die beiden spielen sich die Bälle zu. Wir können die Wohnung nur bedingt weiterempfehlen.
