My husband and I just returned today from a great 2-week stay at Taylor House. There is so much to do and we didn't have time for it all. Thanks to Mark for including the Bus/Ferry passes with the house. We had fun going to the Peppercorn Ceremony(April 22nd) in King's Square and made many friends. Hubby got to participate in the dunking reenactment. Enjoyed having Carly(black cat) come to visit whenever we had the dutch door top to the garden open. House had exactly what we needed. It was nice to have the 2nd bed as we are both restless sleepers at times. Swizzle Inn was a short bus ride away on the #10 or 11 bus. Loved the Pickled Onion and Lobster Pot for dinners. Both are in downtown Hamilton. Hubby went golfing 4 times during our stay and I went shopping. Safe for females to travel by themselves. Mark was around when we needed him but did not bother us at all. We look forward to returning to Taylor House in the future!! Will miss being there!!!
My sister, Celeste, and I were thoroughly charmed by Taylor House and the friendliness of the people of Bermuda. A short hop to the beaches even by bus; the most amazing delis at almost every grocery store; a parade on Bermuda Day in May; tea at the Perfumery across the alley from the house. Get a pizza at the mall across from Shelley Bay and have lunch before you swim. Everything was amazing! A most wonderful and kind host - thanks, Mark. Best idea - 2 bus/ferry passes. We even got used to the tree frogs singing. We will definitely be back.
Taylor House was perfect for our spring week in Bermuda. It's well equipped, clean and attractive. The private garden is a bonus. The location is convenient for the beach, the supermarket and walking trails for visitors like us whose scooter days are over. Thought that the provided bus passes was a nice touch and we used them a lot. Mark was away most of the week but made sure that we had contact numbers if we needed anything. We'd certainly want to return to Taylor House for any future trips to Bermuda.
We have found our pearl in Bermuda...the Taylor House. The quaint house was more than adequate, clean, convenient and charming. With Mark's outstanding hospitality, our eleven day stay was very peaceful and relaxing. The transportation pass was surely an added benefit, enabling our stay to be more enjoyable! We do plan to return in the days to come, to extend our pleasures of life.
My wife and I just spent 11 wonderful nights here. The cottage is tucked away one block from the main street so is very quiet and peaceful. Stepping inside we immediately felt the old world coziness and warmth of early Bermuda. Everything was spotlessly clean and fresh. The kitchen felt like a yacht's galley fully equipped with appliances and cookware. The upstairs bedroom was big and bright with 5 windows for plenty of light and fresh air. The owner lived next door and was available whenever needed but was never intrusive or overly chatty. The location in St. George is ideal with shops, restaurants, cafes, beaches and harbor walks all within a few minutes on foot. I have been to Bermuda over 20 times and this is now one of my very favorite places to relax and feel at home. Highly recommended.
Taylor House is a wonderful property, centrally located in St. Georges, within an easy walk to everything (grocery store, restaurants, bus stop, swimming, etc.). It deserves 4 stars for its location, quaintness and privacy.
The house was clean, well equipped, and the private garden provided a beautiful spot to relax.
I would recommend this place to friends and family.
