Moomist Villa is an idyllic setting to relax and rewind. It is located within Polynesian Gardens across the street from beautiful Siesta Key beach (Number 1 on the list of Top 10 most beautiful beaches in the USA). Out the front door you have a “peek-a-boo” view of the bay with boats cruising by. Out the back sliding doors you look on an ancient oak covered with resurrection fern, orchids & bromeliads & a stone path to your own private hot tub in the middle of the jungle of tropical flora.
When you walk in the front door you will be captivated by the arched ceiling painted to look like the sky. The living room is charming & tropical, the sun porch/TV room is comfy and cozy and has a sleeper sofa. The kitchen is properly “beachy” with open shelves & bamboo countertops. The master bedroom with a queen bed & wicker chests is a sanctuary ala Tommy Bahama style. The second bedroom has twin beds and is bright & Floridian.

The villa is beautiful and perfect for a summer getaway. You have privided for everything. Everything right down to the clouds painted on the ceiling are perfect. I will be back again next year!
My husband and I, along with our daughter and her 2 children (9 and 5) thoroughly enjoyed our time spent at Moonmist Villa! The property was clean and well-maintained. The swimming pool in the complex was also very impressive (impeccably maintained), and a short walk. It was as if we had our own private pool! The public beach and Siesta Key Village and shops were a short drive away! We were there over the 4th of July and the condos with beach access across the street were having nothing to do with letting us "cut through"to the beach!
We had a lovely family vacation in Siesta Keys and we where staying 10 days in "Moonmist". Fantastic location and really nice area. Our kids (13 & 15 yrs) really loved the house and surroundings. Afternoons at the fishing dock and late night swims at the beach. Highly recommended place.
Only small struggle we had was the beach access, we tried all alternatives but best was public access, even if that was a bit of a walk from the house.
Jeannette is a pleasure to deal with. She made the whole booking process very easy. The villa is clean and comfortable with everything available for a relaxing vacation. The hot tub is a bonus and I enjoyed sitting in the garden watching the wildlife. Polynesian gardens is the perfect location with a pier on the inland waterway where you can sit and watch the boats going by and do a little fishing. The beach is a short walk across the road. The communal pool is attractively landscaped and is never very busy.
We recently stayed at Moonmist and enjoyed our week there. The home is tucked away in a beautiful palm tree jungle-like garden setting, yet it is close to everything, the beach, restaurants, shops, etc. The home is well-tended, clean, and nice for a family of four. We took in a play at the Florida Studio Theater in Sarasota, the Ringling Museum, and the Mote Aquarium. The hot tub is a bonus, as is the community pool.
We had a great time in Florida. Our stay at Moonmist was very relaxing. The area is very peaceful and we enjoy the pool. We often went down to the dock in the evening and watched boats coming in and out of the harbor. Moonmist is a very nice place. It could be better with some updates. The couch in the family room is very close to the ground and gets uncomfortable at times. The televisions should all be replaced with some large flat screens. Moonmist is very well stocked with staples and items you might need such as razor, shaving cream, shampoo, etc. Overall it was a great experience.
My husband and I have just returned home to the U.K. following a fantastic three weeks in Siesta Key, staying at Moonmist Villa in the Polynesian Gardens community. The villa itself was spotlessly clean and fully equipped to within an inch of its life! Everything and more provided including beach chairs/parasol/fishing rods etc. The community boat dock was a joy and we spent almost every evening watching the world go by on the Intercoastal Waterway. Even a dolphin leapt out of the water to say hello! Great community swimming pool, immaculately kept, water not too cold! and sufficient sun loungers in and out of the sun. Enjoyed our trips into The Village for Happy Hour! Did lots of 'tootling' around - St. Armand's Circle, Venice, Turtle Beach and gorgeous Siesta Beach itself. Loved the fact that you don't have to pay for parking your car, not like the U.K. We did have quite a lot of rain during our three weeks but there was not a lot we could do about that! Jeanette, the owner, has responded immediately to all of my e-mail enquiries and paying by installments was convenient and easy. A word of advice! Don't burn the toast or the smoke alarm will go off!! Already talking about visiting Siesta Key again next year. All in all, a memorable and thoroughly enjoyable vacation.
