Happy Cape May week!!

Nice property - I appreciated the clean/new pillows and mattress pads. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies.

Cozy quarters in a quiet convenient location

  • 3 of 5

The house was sufficient but you need to be aware it is an older house. We arrived in the dark and blew a fuse shortly after arrival. Since we weren't going into a crawl space at night we dealt with no electricity in the attic or partially on the second floor for the night. Once we fixed it the next day we had no other electrical issues. The living spaces are small with limited seating given the number of people the house can sleep but the outside spaces are helpful as long as the weather is cooperative. Location is nice and quiet while still convenient. One of the best surprises was the Tuesday evening farmers market at the end of the street by the fire station. Plan on getting dinner there if possible. Cape May is a lovely town that is friendly and family oriented. A place we will definitely visit again!

Tarasivka has everything you need!

  • 5 of 5

This is the perfect location for a vacation, with the beach and downtown Cape May within walking/biking distance. The house has everything you need to be comfortable. Even better than enjoying the local restaurants, buy your own fresh fish, prepare it in the nice-sized kitchen, and grill it just off the deck in the grassy back yard while the kids play. There is room to spread out, over 3 floors, and the kids always love the attic bedroom the best. The house layout lets you have room for family togetherness as well as privacy. At night, you can listen to music from the speakers on the softly-lit deck off the master bedroom while enjoying some of the local wines. There is an outdoor shower that makes for easy beach clean-up when you return from one of the nearby beaches. We have been staying here for 10+ years and we always find something new to do. When our kids were small, the Cape May Zoo was a great place to visit, and with free admission too. Wildwood is about a 30 minute drive if you want the boardwalk and amusement park rides. This year we went to the World War II observation tower, which brought their history class to life for them. Every year we look forward to visiting Tarasivka, it's become a family tradition for us. We can always count on a clean, comfortable, fun place to stay and the owners will do whatever it takes to make it that way. Staying in this house is just as much a part of our Cape May experience as the beach itself! You will not be disappointed.

Unfortunately due to extenuating circumstances, my wife and I were unable to make our vacation. Despite the lease agreement which had a different refund policy, Tania and Andrew granted us a full refund. Their understanding in our time of difficulty was simply amazing. They are special people- we look forward to visiting next year!

Great for us

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our Cape May vacation and the rental was a big part of it. The house was very comfortable, well maintained, clean and all the amenities were there. The house is close to a farm market, a small grocery store and the West Cape May Farmer's market. We rode bikes or walked to the beach, the lighthouse and shopping in town. The outdoor shower was great too. The third floor has a slightly low celling as you walk up the steps but who ever stays up there will enjoy being above it all. I would recommend this rental to a friend. If you want to be two steps from the beach this is not the place for you but if you want an active vacation, walking distance from good eateries and if you enjoy sitting on a lovely enclosed porch this is a great spot.
