My wife and I are from Minnesota where we currently reside with our two children. My wife has been coming to Marco since she was a young girl. She turned me on to my first taste of paradise here in Marco in 1992 on our honeymoon. We have been coming back ever since.

After coming down for 9 years we really got used to getting out of the cold Minnesota winters for a couple of weeks in January. We found it was a great way to break up the long winters. Now not only are we fortunate enough to enjoy our own place on the beach of Marco, but we get to share the experience with others.
It's funny, our friends always ask us what we have planned for our trip to Marco and we just laugh and say 'nothing' For us that's the best part of coming to Marco Island, we don't have to plan. It's a great place to simply come and relax and take each day one at at a time. Lots of beach time, pool time, a round of golf or two, and a beverage of your choice at sunset! Not to mention the boating , fishing and shelling that is part of daily life on Marco Island.
Our 2 girls have been coming to Marco since they were born. They love the beach, especially going to the beach early in the morning to look for sand dollars. Oh did I mention the pool, they love the pool too.
Marco Island does have plenty to do. Lots of great restaurants, fresh seafood, boat and jet ski rentals, golf, fishing, biking, parasailing and much more. So whether your looking to come and veg out and recharge your batteries or you want to be more active, there really is something for everyone here. Marco Island is the perfect vacation destination.
We love it and I know you will too!!
We had no trouble finding the gate and the building we were to stay in from the owners directions. We were from Ohio and had never stayed on Marco Island. Just getting on the Island and driving up to to the gate was exciting for us. Make sure you read all the papers you see around the elevators, they will explain a lot of thinks you need to know. We were a little confused on a few things at first. Like what all does that silver key unlock Ha! Ha! The condo it self was great and if we had any issues or guestions they were taken care of right away. You walk in the condo and see this great view of the bay and the white sandy beach. We spent a lot of time at the beach and the pool but my favorite spot was the balcony with its great view. If at all possible we would love to return. I would give our trip and the condo top ratings.
We were very happy with our stay at Casa Del Sol. We enjoyed a stress free vacation, just relaxing on the beach and by the pool. The condo was clean and comfortable. The owner was very easy to work with. For breakfast, be sure to stop by Doreen's Cup of Joe and try their Key Lime pancakes.
My vacation was great the condo view is amazing and the owner was always a phone call away to answer anything I needed. I would recommend Casa Del Sol to any one that want a vacation at Marco island
Rented two condos off VRBO for first time this year in Marco. Absolutely fantastic time. Just generally to Marco Island, we thought the island was heaven. Definitely would recommend the Gulf Coast to anyone thinking of Florida (warmer water, calmer) and Marco Island is really the best in my mind. Some may dispute because the sand is shelly, but we have small kids, so that was one of the nicest parts for shelling and exploring.
Specific to South Seas and Craig's condo: South Seas is on the more laid back, permanent resident side of the beach. The other side is high end hotels and more of a party atmosphere. South Seas is especially appealing for seniors and parents with small children, though I would go there without kids any time. You'll probably see from other reviews that the beach is a hike from the condos, but we really didn't find it a big deal at all, and Craig provides a beach cart if you're really hauling stuff. We have a six year old and two year old and had no problems. Also keeping in mind that a hotel room on the other side can go for double and triple the amount per night, a walk to the beach was an easy trade off. Lots of restaurants and grocery stores available by easy, short drive. For those used to living in a big city, you'll be mostly using a car to get to these amenities, but that's true basically anywhere in southwest Florida.
We stayed in two different condos in South Seas, and this condo was clearly superior. Nicely done and thought given to the amenities. Lots of chairs, toys, beach cart. The spare bedroom had two double beds, where lots of condos just have singles. The advantage is you could bring more adults with the kids, and we plan on bringing friends or grandma next time. Carpeted bedrooms was really nice for the kids so they could sit on the floor and play, as lots of these condos have tile floors throughout.
Definitely will be renting with Craig again. We stayed in May, which was an awesome time to stay. Perfect days, low season, hardly anyone around, and a great big pool lots of times to ourselves. Both our kids were started with floaties, and were swimming without after our time here. May is a perfect time to go with small children.
Love this property looks right out to the ocean. You can walk to the point (5miles round trip) or walk the sidewalk and go farther, on Wednesday go to the farmers market, great food to eat there or take home.we have been going there for about 12 years Our granddaughter was 10 when we first went there, we where there 10min. When she said" can we.come back next year" and we did.
We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Del Sol. The view was breathtaking. The area was relaxing and quaint. The proximity to the beach could not have been closer. Parking was a dream. The condo had all the amenities of home and was very clean, welcoming and homey. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Would recommend to everyone.
