My wife and I have stayed at this condo multiple times and it always works out great for us. Beautiful accommodations and the owner is a pleasure to deal with. The Ritz Carlton KB is a first class property and this unit is better than most hotel rooms, well stocked with everything you need to live almost like you are at home. If you are staying for longer than just a couple days the condo is especially nice with the extra space, full size fridge and kitchen, large bathroom etc. Overall we love Key Biscayne and this unit especially.
WE love this place. The Ritz is fantastic and the unit is better than the hotel rooms with a great little kitchen and a nice balcony facing the sunsets over Biscayne Bay. We could not be happier with our stay and hope to visit again. The local restaurants are better than you might expect so be adventurous and try them.
We had a fantastic week vacation in Key Biscayne. The unit was very nice, had a view of the bay in the distance with pretty sunsets even though not an ocean view. The layout of the apartment is great and provides extra space for those who need an extra room. We had kids stay on the pullout sofa bed and it worked very well. Apartment was well-stocked with gear for small kids including a booster seat for the dining room table.
The services at the hotel are really fantastic. Everyone was great to us and our family and all the amenities are available to you as a guest of the unit.
We just returned from 8 days in Key Biscayne. We found the owner to be attentive and considerate. We called him last minute on Friday asking if the apartment was available one day early as we had booked a different apartment in Miami for two days prior, it was awful. David took care of everything and even gave us a deal on that extra night stay without us even asking, which was incredibly thoughtful. Although we did not have an ocean view, there is a view of the bay in the far distance and the grounds of the beautiful Ritz Carlton. This is truly a great deal, you get the all the amenities of the hotel while still having an apartment and a kitchen so you aren't breaking your budget having to eat out every meal (especially when you have young children who wake early and go through a gallon of milk in 5 days). Having the amenities of the Ritz Carlton was a huge plus the pool, the staff, and not to be missed the Photo Concierge was amazing. It was also great that a parking spot was available to us, since it has its own private enterance and a great location right next to elevators, and not dealing with Valet everytime, especially with the July 4th being a busy weekend. We were able to leave without having to deal with the hassle. The island is amazing and beautiful so worth exploring, and everything is within walking distance. We loved Billy Baggs (great light house), Crandon park (the gardens and nature center should not be missed.) with great beaches for young children. The park in the middle was great. The restaurants on the island are amongst the best. Our favs were Ceviche Bar, Artisan, Milanezza, the Lighthouse cafe and the Rusty Pelican are not to be missed. We had the best time and will definitely be returning to this tropical island retreat that made us feel like we were in the Caribbean, South America, and Europe all in little island. You will come back feeling refreshed.
Arrived in the midst of Hurricane Isaac warnings, had to stay put in hotel for awhile, even with that it was very relaxing.
The condo was beautiful and a nicely stocked kitchen, awesome decor. We enjoyed the Spa and the great staff at the Fitness center
We took advantage of the dining at the in house restaurants during the storm.
We had a very enjoyable experience especially the music at the Rumbar lounge the last night.
The staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome.
We loved the choice of having two pools and the convenience to drive to South Beach.
Winn-Dixie close by
Novecento restaurant close by was our favorite
Looking forward to a return visit.
We just completed our stay at this unit. Overall it was a good experience. But I probably won't stay at this unit again, not because of the unit or owner - but because the "residence" aspect didn't make us feel like a true hotel guest and we missed many of the Ritz services - e.g., daily housekeeping, turn down service, etc.
Pros: Good price compared to rack rates. Unit was clean and fully stocked with linens, dishes, pool toys, etc. Huge closet. Had a nice view of the bay (in the far distance). The reserved parking spot in the garage below the hotel was a plus. Even though it was next to elevators, noise was not a factor. Having a kitchen was nice for leftovers and quick breakfast in a.m.
Cons: Sofa bed pullout was small (barely fit my child; would not fit an adult) and probably needs replaced (seemed worn). Washer/dryer combo unit was small (size of college room fridge) and took forever to dry clothes (maybe needs a service call?). Owner was non-responsive in communications from time to time and didn't follow through with allowing for an extra day of stay when unit was not being used.
These are my opinions, hope they help.
