Beautiful setting

Beautiful setting, enjoyed the stay other than a wad of hair found on stove knob

Owner's Response: Four stars is still good.....obviously if a wad of hair was found, it was not put there purposly, we always pay attention to detail.....I'm sure it was from a wash cloth from cleaning up, wiping and maybe a clingon kept holding on....so sorry! We always go back in the home and double check everything too so we missed this. Never had I ever got a review so critical on something like this but if that is all this guest could find and since something like this would only take less than a second to fix, All Good!

Relaxing with gorgeous sunsets!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at this cottage! The lake was great to swim and play in and the hot tub was a great option when it was chilly. Highly recommend watching the sunset on the lake from the hot tub! Was also nice to have a heated pool and a basketball court a few steps away. The house was clean and I liked that former guests were allowed to leave little things behind for the next to use (such as coffee, sugar, condiments etc.) I had to contact Dorene once for a minor issue and she was very prompt in getting back to me. Thank you!

Owner's Response: Sunsets are pretty awesome and different every night, which is why we call our home Sunset Beach......This home is shared by many and loved by all.....and we pay attention to detail in what the traveler/guest would have in mind and set the house up accordingly. We always do our best to make the guest feel comfortable in their "home away from home" and have one of their best vacations ever!

Great space, something for everybody

  • 5 of 5

My family (8 people plus my granddog) spent one week at Sunset Beach and had a wonderful time. The chalet was roomy and we enjoyed the game room area for late nights after the little ones went to bed. We all enjoyed the hot tub just outside of the eating area, especially the kids. They spent hours daily warming after the pool or lake or even after breakfast to get their day started. Doreen and John were close by but never intruded. The lakefront was very inviting and the water was clear and warm. We all had a terrific time and will definitely consider coming again if we are lucky enough to find another time when we are all available. Family time is Fun Time. Thanks for everything. The Clark/Paul family's.
