The apartment was completely renovated in 2014 and lovingly decorated with high quality materials. You will enjoy the one hand, a very central location and on the other hand you are in the middle of the garden town. There are new two independent sleeping rooms.

In 7 minutes you are by train in the heart of Lucerne. it runs every 15 minutes.

From the apartment you have direct access to your generous garden space with its own barbecue. A free parking and Wi-Fi is available.

In 5 minutes walking distance you reach supermarket, wine shop, pharmacy etc.

The apartment is located in a quiet very safe neighborhood.

End cleaning fee (50 euros) are to be paid in cash upon arrival.

Awesome place

Bridgit was very informative before we arrived, making sure we knew how to get to the house. She greeted us upon arrival and gave us a tour. She also recommended local places to have dinner. The house was perfect for the 5 of us. Loved that it was just outside of Lucerne and only a 5 min walk to the train. House was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay.

Good location and well appointed studio with separate kitchen, and view of the Pilatus

Very close to shopping, nice kitchen, modern bathroom, comfortable furniture and beautiful garden. My only complaint is that it would have been nice to have more than one towel per person for the entire week, and an oven mit should be added to the otherwise lovely kitchen.

As you saw the kitchen is complete new renovated and it has as well a big oven with everything and a micro wave. Good location and good set up for two people.

My review is a good one as the location is good for anything in Lucerne as the train station is very close. Nice neighborhood. Nice covered parking for anyone with a vehicle. The apartment was clean and basic but yet well appointed. The only semi-negative thing we have to say is the host is a bit over bearing and also forgets I think at times that she is hosting guests who are paying to stay. Two of three nights we were there the host had two large outdoor parties and we had NO privacy (had to close all windows and curtains due to noise and people directly outside our windows) and the noise and commotion went on till around midnight. When the host has her own life - which she is entitled to of course! - it will directly impact anyone staying at the apartment. It was just very strange in that regard. The kitchen has a large glass door which anyone can see into and our hosts and their friends/family did indeed walk by. Our windows were literally inches from where they sat and had loud and large dinners and then our bedroom window was only feet from their pool and fire pit area where they went to after till very late at night. So this really was our only major issue - that when you get back from a busy day in Lucerne and area - you may not have a quiet and private retreat upon your return. That's just the facts. I know the host will disagree with this evaluation, but it is important for this to be known. Windows and doors are right on top of where the host entertains and so we can see that if you don't want to hear clearly their conversations and their partying - or have people seeing you inside the apartment - it could be problematic. The two areas - theirs and ours - were too close to each other and it was not really fair to us to lay in bed after long days touring and to have ourselves compromised. It is very much like staying in a room of someone's home and thus all conversations outside, all people walking by outside and all walking up and down stairs and upstairs on the floor can be clearly heard. It is just the way it is and I guess we were just surprised that the consideration of the paying guest was not put to more of a priority. That's all. Seemed strange. To come back and have to close all windows and pull curtains just to try to have basic privacy and quiet while a party raged on for two of our three nights... Just strange. I just think the host should be more mindful of this and to look for solutions.

Owner's Response: We are very surprised about this very long comment. Any way the guest gave us 4 stars. Let us talk about. I remember that we hat diner outside one evening that was our family, my husband, daughter, a friend of us and me. We finished it at 9.30 pm. Official rest time in Switzerland is 10.00 pm. Our guests have there own garden place with there own BBC. This in a 2000 square metres private garden parc! Our diner place is in the opposite of the guest apartment. If you heard some voices in later evening it was maybe our neighbor 100 metres away. I say sorry for it. The apartment is on a mezzanine floor, it means nobody will look into them, first, because it is on a private property and second because the under edge only starts up to 2.30m. By the glass door somebody should enter true our parc, then go to the balcony to glance into the kitchen? But you are right in this month we had our shutters to renovate. But you had the the curtains for every window. We were there all the time, if you had spoken to us, we could provide a paravent before the glass door, in the balcony, true the garden. I am so sorry, Switzerland is not Canada! If you like the wilderness and lonliness you have to visit an alp hut in the mountains. But you wanted to stay in town and visit Lucerne. I am sure you would not find something more private for this price and official 4****. As paying guest you could as well benefit from our very long email correspondence (more then 15) about your questions, uncertainties etc. I sent you plans, confirmed you 3 times your booking etc. And as paying guest you paid at the end for 4**** stars less then in the youth hostel. We accept your point of view, and we do every time more then the best for our guest. As well when I have to wait 2 ours for the agreed arrival.

Herrliche Sonnentage in wunderschöner Umgebung

Wir hatten eine perfekte Zeit in Luzern. Das Wetter war uns zugetan, Birgit und ihre Familie haben unsere Herzen gewärmt und der wunderschöne Garten hat uns verzaubert. Rundum eine tolle Zeit- nur der Anschied fiel uns schwer.

Wonderful location, modern and convenient!

Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 young boys ages 13, 11) spent 3 days in this wonderful apartment. Location is very good, just 8 minutes away from Luzerne main train station (after a 5 minute walk from the apartment to the train station). The apartment itself was impeccable, very modern, it seems as if it’s been recently renovated, all the bathroom and sink fixtures seemed almost brand new. It has a separate toilet/small sink, and a shower/larger sink in 2 separate rooms, so it’s very convenient.

This apartment is actually a studio apartment where the main living room (with sofa bed) is separated from the main bedroom by a thick wall that doesn’t quite reach the ceiling, there are no doors separating the living room from the bedroom. The main bed was very comfortable, very supportive mattress, as well as the sofa bed.

The sofa bed is one big component, no need to take away cushions and put them back together after setting it up, so it’s done in just a few seconds.

Since we traveled in early April, unfortunately we couldn’t use the pool, which is very beautiful. Surrounded by rocks all around, you actually get the sense that you’re stepping into a river. In one part of this pool we food hundreds of tadpoles, our boys were actually fascinated by this, as well as finding a few cats hanging around that they played with; they even gave names to the cats: Bill, Phil, Gill and Will.

Brigit was very helpful throughout the whole process, after booking we spoke on the phone and we interchanged emails a few times, although we never met as it was Easter time when we traveled… She was very flexible and was a pleasure to deal with, always very responsive. We would undoubtedly go back to this apartment in the future, perhaps the cats will still be there!... Thanks Brigit!

Super! Great Host & Apartment

Brigit's apartment is exactly as described on the site, comfortable, centrally located in Emmenbrucke, and close to the rail station. The apartment has a beautiful garden so sit in and relax after a day of sightseeing in Lucerne. We had a wonderful stay with Brigit, and when in Lucerne we will definitely being staying with Brigit. The location is very central. 3 minutes walk to the train, then 7 minutes at Lucerne Central Station. 1 minute from the motorway exit in all directions. Very central but also very quiet in the midst of the garden city.

They have a private garden with BBC, garden furniture, on request also swim in your private swimming pool is possible. Everything you need is within 5 minutes walk.
