Description

Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday home in Bushmills

House, 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 5)

This beautiful property is in a village on the North Antrim Coast. It is walking distance to the Giants Causeway and close to the famous Bushmills distillery.

All rooms have laminate flooring so there is no need to worry about bringing sand in from the beaches, there is a secluded patio at the rear where you can spend the evening having a barbecue.

Set in a quiet location it is a few minutes walk from a sandy beach where you can enjoy surfing and swimming, the Bush river where you can enjoy fishing, and a nine hole golf course.

The beaches and golf courses in this area are famous, with Royal Portrush having two challenging championship courses.

If motorbikes are your passion we are only a few miles from the route of the famous Northwest 200 road races which are normally held in May.

The perfect base for exploring the Glens of Antrim, hiking, fishing and golf ... or for a relaxing break, the Cozy Nook is perfect for all your needs.

A beautifully presented home, luxurious, but very comfortable.

  • 5 of 5

The Cozy Nook was easy to find, and the instructions for our arrival were clear. Being "of an age," with arthritic fingers we did find the key box a challenge.

The beds were comfortable and the linen of high quality. It was a little cold when we arrived, but it took only s short time to warm up. All the appliances were in excellent working order, and they posed no problems - except that my brother didn't discover the hairdryer until we were packing to leave - and we had already bought one by then. That was his fault, not yours! The chopping/bread board near the cooker had a little foot missing on the underside - I am hoping that we didn't lose it for you.

The location of the house is amazing - and it allowed us to explore much of the coastal route.

Though I am a member of the National Trust, I found that there misinformation was deliberately given at Giants Causeway, directing us through reception, even though we had clearly stated that we only wanted to go down to the Causeway itself, none of the other attractions there. We also went to get the ferry up to Southern Ireland - only to find it ceased to run in March. It was clearly signposted from the A2 - and we felt the sign should have been covered or moved until such time as it resumed. It resulted in a long detour via Derry.

Everything else was perfect - and we are already planning to return next year. We have no hesitation in recommending this as an ideal holiday - and have already been doing so. My pictures on Facebook created very positive reactions, too.

Thank you for a great holiday.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your kind review. We appreciate your comments about the lockbox and are currently trying to find an alternative that would be easier opened. We would be more than welcome to stay with us at any time in the future. Maureen and Trevor

Definitely a Cozy Nook!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our week at the Cozy Nook, located in a quiet neighborhood full of beautiful views and within a short walk to the beach! We were fortunate to enjoy the newly renovated home, as the kitchen and bath have been totally redone and the bedrooms have been redecorated as well. Trevor and Maureen were great! Excellent communication on the front end of our visit and great follow up upon our return home. As an example, the Harveys knew were were arriving late on Sunday and they left us some food some food so we wouldn't starve! Very thoughtful and were avaiable to answer our late night call on a simple door lock issue. Very wonderful hosts.

The home was very clean and well described in the listing. The extras (wireless and dish tv) were appreciated as well. We would definitely recommend this listing to anyone and would stay here again.

We enjoyed the Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-rede bridge, Portrush shopping and pubs, Dunluce Castle, Bushmills Distillery and village, just the walks at PortBallintrae beach.

We hope others take advantage of this listing!

This has probably been one of the best holiday stays our family has ever had. The house was immaculate and had every amenity we could need or even imagine. The only thing better than the house was the service we received from the owners. From helping secure a rental car and travel advice, to fulfilling even our smallest requests, they were willing and eager to help out. They really made us feel like royalty and we will definitely be back!
