My husband and I stayed at the Blissful Blue Cottage over this past 4th of July weekend! We had a wonderful time. The house was cozy and very clean. Carol was great in the lead up to our stay and the app provided great information for the surrounding area. It was even pet friendly and our dog enjoyed herself thoroughly on the big spacious yard (leashed of course!). The fire-pit on the property was a great way to relax after a long day of hiking and exploring New Paltz! I highly recommend a vacation here and my husband and I will definitely be back. Thank you Carol!
My wife and I just spent a fabulous long weekend at the lovely Blissful Blue cottage...what can we say but it was pure relaxation! The house lends itself to comfort in every form. Each nook and corner is delightfully, artistically inspired with creative touches everywhere that keep you intrigued. The surrounding property with its amazing waterfall running through it was easily heard and enjoyed from the 'river room' with its super-comfy couches. The stone fireplace was amazing as well; we had one cold evening and the woodstove was romantic and warm! There was plenty to do with a tv, books, movies, and more.
We would love to return again in the summer months to enjoy nature's surroundings - a lovely gem in a quiet space.
My family just spent a few days in this beautiful, comfortable home and can't say enough about our wonderful experience there! We highly recommend it and can't wait to go back one day.
Great setting, comfortable house - and the owner could not have been more wonderful to deal with. Would happily come back again and again.
For the short amount of time we stayed here, it was totally worth the drive up from the city! We can't wait to come back.
The cottage was the perfect size for us (3 adults and 1 small dog) and had everything we needed to enjoy our time there. Carol was very helpful and was available to us every step of the way. Again, can't wait to return and do some more canoeing!
House was as charming and cozy as they come (just like description/photos but even nicer), setting beautiful, owner a dream to deal with. My husband and 3-year old and I all equally enjoyed being in this gem of a cottage; an ideal, relaxing winter getaway from NYC.
Antique shops and yard sales abound in spring, summer and fall. Artisan shops, and farm stands for looking or enjoying all year long. Grand waterfalls a short walk from the house gives calming pleasure on your morning walk through the wooded trails. Fresh mountain air fills you up each day, even on those hot days of summer; a little dip in our gushing stream strips it all away.
There's no real reason to leave the house, but if you really need to there's always something to see, a summer county fair to go to---pottery making and face painting, and golfing and skiing within a 20 minute car ride away.
Other Activities: Roller skating, kayaking, canoeing, eating, farm stands, hay rides, fairs
Ski: Belleayer Mountain- beginner/intermediate skiing- is within a 20 minute drive.
Hunter Mountain-is a harder course- 40 minute drive.
