Our family stayed here 3 nights from Sept 1 through 4. The house was very easy to get to and we found using our GPS. Upon arrival the hosts left very specific instructions about the house, hot tub, and a special handwritten note about recent bear activity (and they were right!). The house is a beautiful ADK log cabin with plenty of room to accommodate a big group. We enjoyed the many decks and beautiful sunsets. The water front is lovely with a sandy bottom. We are looking forward to coming back. We loved it.
House is beautiful and views are amazing! We had our entire family up for the week between Christmas and New Year's Day and enjoyed very comfortable living in this house. It was relaxing to come back after snowmobiling and unwind in the hot tub then sit by the fireplace in the living room. Location is very convenient to town. Having two refrigerators and a washer and dryer was great with so many of us! Mark and Olin the caretakers were wonderful to work with and kept the driveway plowed and were on hand for any questions we had. We would recommend this home to anyone that is looking for a lot of space and the comfort of being home while vacationing in the Adirondacks! Great time!
Seven of us who have been quilting friends for many years have escaped to this " retreat" every year for the past six years. This year was exceptional , because the leaves were @ peak; the spectacular view from the front windows (our sewing stations) was a changing vista daily. We had double rainbows and loons swimming nearby. The quiet road is great for daily walks. The village of Old Forge is only minutes away. We bring a lot of food (and wine 🍷) but did enjoy meals at Tony Harper's, Frankies, and the Seventh Lake House. We look forward to going every year ( and keep hoping we'll be surprised with a dishwasher soon)! We always enjoy the quilt show @ The View and The Crazy Moose Quilt Shop north on Rte 28 in Inlet.
My husband and I stayed here for three wonderful nights with our toddler. The house is large and well-appointed, and the view is stunning. This was the perfect place to decompress from a busy summer. We were so happy to see that the deck had a gate, which eliminated worries about our toddler wandering off. They also provided a gate to block the stairs going to the basement, which was a big help for keeping our little explorer contained! Everything about this place was peaceful, and our little family loved the stay. Next time we'll probably bring more friends and family- this would be an ideal place to have a larger get-together.
Some of the group stayed at this cabin 3 years ago and have always talked about going back. The cabin was available on one of the guys birthday weekend so it seemed like a no brainer. Jeff was easily accessible to answer any of the many questions I had. We will definantly be back! Thank you again for a great weekend!
Stayed at the lake house as an extended family trip. The house exceeded my expectations in every way. The views are incredible and the location couldn't be better. It felt very private and the town of Old Forge is only a short ride away. Everything was set up for us when we arrived and we truly loved it here and will most likely book for next summer. All the good reviews were on the money. The house has the true Adirondack feel to it and the kids loved the outdoor hot tub and hammock setup along with the dock that you can jump right into the lake from. The lake is so clean and it was just nice to look at passing boats from the outdoor deck. We used the bbq a few nights and had a great dinner in town at sisters bistro. There is a ton of stuff to do nearby. We rented a pontoon boat and also took the chairlift up McCauley mountain and hiked down, which was fun. The owner responded promptly to emails and refunded my damage deposit very quickly. Highly recommend staying here.
We spent a week at this place and it was awesome. We want to go back next year!!! Hoping that the garage suite is finished so we can invite more people.
