Wonderful house for family vacation!

  • 5 of 5

This ended to be the perfect house for our family. The kids loved the third floor dorm and there was plenty of space for the 11 of us. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need. The view was amazing and there was plenty of space outside to play badminton, soccer, etc. not to forget the kayaks to enjoy the lake. Of course South Hero region is amazing for biking, and we took advantage of it. Our one-day bike trip to Burlington was a nice adventure and allowed us to also enjoy the city.

This was a wonderful family vacation. The owners, Tina and Jack gave us multiple tips and suggestions of things to do in the area and insured we had what we needed to spend a wonderful time. We would definitively go back again!

We would definitively recommend to anyone who want to take vacation in the Lake Champlain region.

Wonderful stay over New Years

  • 5 of 5

Went up with a group of 5 and a dog it was just lovely. The house is cozy and beautiful, and the view of the lake is extraordinary. We spent the days touring Burlington and in the evenings had a great time relaxing by the fireplace, cooking, and playing board games. John and Tina made sure we knew how to reach them and seemed like they would have been very responsive should any issues have arisen -- though the house was waiting for us so perfectly, there was no need. We'd love to come back again!

Fantastic lakeside property

  • 5 of 5

Our large family stayed at this great lakeside property for a wedding in South Hero. The house was spacious and had great accommodations, large family room to gather in while looking at the lake and a great kitchen, quiet sunroom for reading, and fun backyard for playing around in. The kitchen was perfectly set up and allowed a team effort to cook and serve dinner to the group. The wind off the lake was restful and everyone said how much they enjoyed the chance to be together throughout the weekend. The bedrooms were spacious and wonderfully decorated. We felt this experience added tremendously to the wedding of our nephew because we had such good memories of being together instead of at a hotel where everyone is separated in different rooms. We hope to return in the summer!

We Will Return!

  • 5 of 5

Great Choice! Our family and friends stayed for a a week prior to a wedding on Grand Isle, and we were all amazed how well apponted, maintained and located this wonderful home is. Large back yard with great views of the islands and Adirondacks and only a 10 minute walk to the town beach. We biked the ENTIRE island and with the exception of the main highway saw few trucks or cars. We look forward to returning. Kayakiing was also fun. Easy access to local farms, produce airport and Burlington. Thanks Jack & Tina!

Perfect for any family gathering

  • 5 of 5

We had a family reunion celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and this was the perfect place. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and baking. The large table accommodated our family and the living room was very comfortable. Our grandchildren ranged in age from 17 to 1 year old. Our children and grandchildren swam, kayaked, jogged, and rode bikes. The younger children walked around the corner and waded into the lake. And the hammock was never empty.

I always read the reviews when making decisions. I wanted to share how much we enjoyed being in this home. It never felt like a rental. Not sure if the view from the kitchen, or seeing the moon on the lake from our bedroom was my favorite.

What is written in the explanation for the property is absolutely true. From kitchen appliances to games, it's all there. I highly recommend this lovely home.

Fabulous House for a Family Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderful house for a family vacation. We stayed there with children and grandchildren (13 of us) and there was plenty of room and privacy for everyone. Everything was very well maintained. The newly remodeled kitchen is beautiful, functional, and a pleasure to use. The house and grounds were spotless when we arrived and the owner called the next morning to make sure everything was alright.

While there are lots of things to do in, and around South Hero, many days we were all perfectly happy staying right on the property. The house is very well equipped for indoor and outdoor activities - there is also a mooring offshore, so in addition to the kayaks that come with the house, we were able to moor a sailboat.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this house to friends and relatives. Our children and grandchildren were unanimous in their hope to repeat our visit next summer. Make sure to go to the Blue Paddle for dinner and Allenholm Farm for Maple Creemees.
