The terraced Villa Bougainvillea is located in a spacious, exclusive ground on a steep south-facing slope. Inside the fenced 3000 sqm property there is parking space for two cars. Outside, on the street, is enough space for further cars.

The Villa comprises three levels: the main house and two apartment levels. You have the possibility to rent the Villa for 4, 6 or 8 people (9 upon request). Even renting the Villa for fewer people, you rent the Villa exclusively. The perfect privacy is guaranted.

In the main house there are two bedrooms with king-size beds, individual bathrooms, a spacious living room, a guest toilet, a fully equipped new kitchen, the dining room, a shady patio and the panoramic terrace. A new staircase into the garden was built 2023. From the panoramic terrace you can enjoy a stunning view of the Mediterranean sea, the bay of Naxos and Mt. Etna. The evening offers a fascinating panorama of lights.

On the middle-level and pool-level are two beautiful apartments with 2 double beds, individual bathrooms and small living rooms. Access to the apartments is either by the central or by the side open stairs.

Baby travel beds and baby equipment can be set up on request. We want you to travel lightly!
All rooms have air conditioning.
We use bed linen and towels made from 100% organic cotton.

The pool (~11.5 x 4,5 m) is located on the lowest level and is well protected from prying eyes due to its location.

A car is recommanded but not a necessity, public transportation is available in close proximity and you can walk down the breathtaking Madonna della Rocca path to Taormina and get back up by bus or Taxi (15-20 Euro one way for a Taxi).

The exceptional architectural concept of the Villa is designed for 6 to 8 people, offers lots of possibilities for privacy or to enjoy time in company. Ideal for friends, couples, families with children or extended families.

Wonderful Villa between Taormina and Castelmola

This villa is simply stunning. The views are unbelievable. The pool is huge and well maintained. There is plenty of space for a large number of people. The villa itself is well kept and has everything you could need. Location is great. We had a car but walked up to Castelmola and down to Taormina. The walk up to Castelmola is steep but relatively short and well worth it. There is also an hourly bus that runs from Taormina bus stop up to Castelmola which stops at the end of the road. Silvana was fantastic with us and was more than happy to help us with any questions we had via Whatsapp. I would definitely stay here again.

A wonderful holiday villa

Spacious and well laid out with 4 huge bedrooms each with a bathroom, a generous living space and well equipped kitchen. The highlights were the breathtaking views from the terrace and the well maintained pool and beautiful gardens. Silvana was absolutely amazing. She made sure everything was provided and was always available, helpful and a total pleasure to deal with. We were unfortunately involved in a car accident and Silvana gave up so much of her personal time to help us with paperwork etc. Her support and friendship were exceptional - we are so grateful she was there.

Beautiful location, everything you need for a relaxing holiday.

We stayed for 2 weeks at the end of August. The villa is located halfway up the mountain between Taormina and Castelmola and has wonderful views over the coast and Etna. We spent many hours just gazing at it from the terrace or pool. It is possible to walk down to Taormina or up to Castelmola, both of which have many many restaurants, but this is heavy going in high summer. We found the local bus service to be reliable and very useful. The kitchen is well equipped, and the air conditioning is effective if the heat is too much. Sylvana is a very professional housekeeper with excellent English who can attend to all your needs. My only recommendation would be to update the bathrooms- there is nothing wrong with the current ones which are clean and work, but they do look dated.

Perfect in every way

Dear Georgio and Ilse Thank you very much for letting us hire your beautiful villa last week. It was the most enjoyable and relaxing family holiday to date. Your garden is simply enchanting with so many different varieties of trees, shrubs and climbers. I was also fascinated to see the peppercorn tree and we all loved the scent of Jasmine as we walked into the villa in the evenings - it brought back warm memories of Sri Lanka! We picked lemons and made fresh lemonade which we savoured whilst watching the sun set over Mt Etna. Silvana was fantastic in looking after us on the day of our arrival. We were lost and late and she kindly booked the restaurant for dinner and made sure we had something for breakfast too. If possible we would love to return next year especially now that we know how to find it! With warm wishes The Jackson family

Excellent property, fantastic location.

An excellent property with a fantastic view of the Bay of Naxos and Etna. The villa is ideal for eight and could easily be used by four couples since each bedroom has a good level of privacy and each has its own bathroom and shower. The listing is entirely accurate but in many ways does not do it justice since there are many other parts to this property; terraces front and back, access all round including external staircase and separate access to the two apartments, extensive gardens, and parking for three cars. The housekeeper was very helpful and responsive to the one issue that we had (malfunctioning aircon control). Do not rely on a satnav to find it first time; there are several layers of roads (tunnels) in Castelmola/Taormina and the satnav ends up looking like spaghetti - follow the owners written instructions and take a good scale map. The only drawback was the size of the fridge which was inadequate for 8, but the owner had arranged for a new larger fridge based on other reviewers comments and it arrived the evening before we left - just our luck, but it does demonstrate that the owner is responsive. I would gladly recommend this property. Whilst there, a 'must do' is a trip up Etna; we used 'Etna Moving' having identified them from Trip Advisor - an unforgettable excursion. The path to Castelmola (another 'must do') is just outside the front door, but don't attempt it in the heat of the day. A most efficient bus service into Taormina and up to Castelmola runs from the end of the road, but a car is still highly recommended if only to do grocery shopping. Overall an excellent holiday.
