Enter your relaxing tropical vacation home at Watkin’s Heiau, and welcome to tiki-temple life. Enjoy the Polynesian flare throughout our open floor plan, with 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 full baths. Lose yourself in the outdoor Hawaiian ambiance! Feel free to use the pool, hot tub and games during your stay, and explore what Melbourne has to offer. We are just minutes away from downtown, only 6 miles to the beach, less than 3o minutes from the softball stadiums, and an hour away from Orlando Airport and theme parks!

This is a 3 bedroom house with two living rooms, a full kitchen, interior laundry room, plus an additional Florida room with daybed. We have the ability to sleep a total of 8 guests (note, there is an extra charge for guests over 6). The master bedroom has a firm temperpedic mattress, the spare has a pillow-top Full mattress, and the second spare and daybed have standard spring mattresses. There is an extra futon mattress that can be used as a pillow top on any of the full or queen beds. We also have a variety of pillows throughout the property, so you can choose which bedding setup works best for each guest for your stay!

The pool is maintained by a professional company twice a week, so please understand depending on check in days the condition upon arrival will vary slightly. The pool is not heated, but generally water temperature stays around 70-80 degrees from the direct sunlight, depending on the time of year. The freestanding hot tub is heated year round. We do have a beautiful amount of foliage in the back yard, which blooms amazing pink and purple colors in season, and may also cause leaves and flowers on the deck and pool. The front yard is also a complete foliage design, so you may also see some geckos and other outdoor wildlife enjoying the trees and flowers as well. And don't worry, we do also have a regular pest control service to keep critters out of the house!

Florida is hot and humid just about year round, but especially in the summertime! We do have a brand new central AC unit, but guests do not have direct control of the thermostat at the property, to prevent complications with the machine. However, we do our best to accommodate all guest requests and can set the property to your preferred temperature before or after arrival.

We do provide a basic supply of toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, etc, but guests are responsible for additional replenishments throughout their stay. We also provide basic bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and soap in the showers. We have a variety of games, pool toys/floats, and beach umbrellas, towels, and chairs. Guests also have full use of the laundry machines and parking in the two car garage to park during their stay.
