Our family fell in love with Siesta Key during family vacations. Decided to have our 'own' home on the beach and also utilize it within our business model of rental real estate.
We really never thought we could own a house on the beach and make it a financially sound investment. Purchased when the market was waining and the property was in disrepair. With a significant remodeling budget, we were able to create what some call the 'best house on Siesta Beach' Everyone that visits raves about the house and in 2012 we rented 45 of 52 weeks with 80% of those rentals from previous tenants. In 2013, we found that we only had 2 weeks available for our family because of the demand. That has what has lead to the purchase of 110 Beach Road on July 1st, 2013
This beachfront home provides an incredible view of the ocean from the balconies and windows in all the rooms. It's on a quiet section of the powder white sands of Siesta Key beach. The main street is a 5 minute walk which has everything you need from restaurants with live music to groceries and a gelato cafe. The house has many amenities such as bikes, a kayak, an outdoor shower, a large ice maker, fans, an extra roll away bed and each bedroom has its own TV and balcony.
Our family enjoyed a memorable time together especially since it was dog friendly. Ron was fantastic to deal with. We knew he was there to commicate with us if we had any questions or concerns. This is our favourite place that we have stayed in Florida.
We could not have been happier with the house. The owner (Ron) was very responsive when it came to a couple of minor issues we had. Would not hesitate to go back to 152 Beach Road again...joe and ellen
We could not have asked for a better vacation. The house is oceanfeont so we walked back and forth from the beach all day and into the evenings to enjoy the sunsets. We were also a short walk to Siesta Village with tons of shops and restaurants. The house was equipped with everything you could need, including beach towels, toys, chairs, umbrellas, etc. plus a well stocked kitchen. Every window has an outstanding view and Ron L is an excellent host. We would recommend this home to anyone and plan on visiting again. Thanks Ron!
The sweeping beach views from every room in the house, plus the location within walking distance of all the restaurants and shops in Siesta Key Village made for a most relaxing and memorable family vacation! We liked the layout of the house, with the bedrooms upstairs and away from the living space. The kitchen is well equipped, and the very large flat panel wall-mounted TV in the living room was great for "movie nights". There's a Weber gas grill on the deck outside the kitchen which we used and enjoyed. The garage contained an assortment of beach chairs, umbrellas, floats, toys, etc. which saved us from making our usual trip to a store buy these items. This house is an excellent choice if you're looking for a place where you can just park the car for the duration of your vacation, and walk a very short distance to a great variety of restaurants, shops, and stores (only 0.2 miles to the Daiquiri Deck restaurant/bar!). Being on the northern end of the island, you also have a short and easy drive to Marina Jacks, St. Armands Circle, and other points of interest near downtown Sarasota. Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying in this home, and we'll certainly be coming back in future years.
One of our best vacations by the sea! House is ideally positioned (few steps from beach and also town) with spacious interior and well equipped. We have enjoyed BBQ and evening chill at patio. Hopefullywe will come back in the future.
We really enjoyed our week at this property. The location relative to the beach and the village was terrific, the house was updated and well supplied and had great views off of the decks, which had ample deck furniture. I was pleasantly surprised at the kitchen as many rental properties seem to only stock their kitchens with 'reject' utensils and cookware, which if you like to cook for your family can be a real pain, but this one had everything I needed including a new set of sharp, quality knives (which any serious cook knows is the most important piece of equipment) and a decent gas grill. Using the fold away twin bed, we were able to sleep our 3 kids in the 2nd bedroom, a bit tight but perfectly fine for children. One quirk of the house is the den area of the spacious master suite has a wall that is open to the staircase, only blockable by shutters - so achieving "sound privacy" was not fully possible, but this was only a minor inconvenience. There were plenty of beach chairs provided, though only one, smaller functioning beach umbrella at the time we were there. Those minor issues, along with a water pressure issue in the kitchen sink (showers were great though!) prevent me from giving a "perfect" five stars, but we would certainly rent this property again in the future.
