Couldn't have been much better

  • 5 of 5

Quite wonderful: the neighborhood is upmarket, but the street is very quiet; access is easy (about 6 steps down, and 3 steps up at back of flat); multiple bus lines are a block or two away; a great pub is nearby (good beer and cider, and trivia night is fun), there are multiple restaurants along the shopping street (our favorite was Cote, but we wanted to try many others), and the original Ottolenghi's--now primarily a take-away deli--is 2 blocks away. The kitchen is well-arranged and supplied, the beds are comfortable, the house cleaner (a delightful woman who also welcomed us with the key when we arrived) comes once a week, the bathtub is deep with plenty of hot water, and there's a sweet patio in the back. Plus the owner is extremely charming and helpful.

Perfect home away from home for my 12 days in London.

  • 5 of 5

I loved everything about Val and Adrian's flat in Notting Hill. As a first time visitor to the UK and as a woman traveling alone I needed somewhere safe and in a convenient location and this fitted the bill in every way.

Well before my arrival Val and Adrian were in touch to ensure that everything would go smoothly and gave me very helpful advice. Every query I had was answered almost immediately and it was the same when I stayed. They could not have been more responsive or willing to help.

The flat itself is charming with everything needed to ensure a comfortable and memorable stay and I couldn't have chosen better. The location was perfect; so handy to Central London yet so quiet and peaceful! I found getting around so easy and the local shops and eateries a couple of minutes away.

All in all a wonderful experience and I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

A perfect place to enjoy London

  • 5 of 5

We loved our time in Notting Hill. The flat was quaint, clean and quiet. It is located perfectly for making your way around the city. Plenty of pubs, restaraunts and shops nearby made it so easy to enjoy Notting Hill and the rest of London. Bus and tube stops were easily within walking distance.

Val was so delightful and the true gem of our experience. She was always availiable for information, advice and recommendations. I now consider her a friend! :)

We will definitely stay at this adorable flat again. You will love it here!

Cosy flat in great location

  • 5 of 5

We chose this place on the basis of all the good reviews and we were not in the least disappointed. I can only reassert what other guests have said: the flat is really charming and cosy, ( feels even better than it looks in the photos). It made going back home every evening a real pleasure.

The neighbourhood has this lovely London look that we like, and frequent buses are really just yards away. Thanks again Val for this great holiday.

Perfect location at a great price!

  • 5 of 5

My college age daughter and I stayed here for a week at Christmas in 2014. This is a lovely, very clean lower unit with access to the back garden. It's nicely and simply furnished (but not Ikea!) with a well appointed kitchen, and combined dining and TV room. The bedroom is in the front, with two comfortable twin beds. There is extra space: a small entry hall, and a bathroom off a hallway (which could be used as a dressing area). I could not imagine a better location: charming street, very safe, convenient to the Tube (Zone 1!), shopping, grocery stores, laundromat, cafes, and parks. The bonus is that Val was responsive to our questions and needs. Do stay here! You will enjoy this sweet apartment at a great price.
