A hop, skip and jump to Raglan's wharf and a fisherman's dream, adjacent to the wharf is a launching ramp suitable for large trailer boats. If you feel you need a little retail therapy whilst visiting the wharf visit Tony Sly Pottery, Soul Shoes, Raglan Fish, Raglan Retro and Antiques and Rick Youmans Creative Works. The Wharf Bar and Grill restaurant offers a modern menu whether it be breakfast (opens 10am), lunch or dinner in lovely surroundings or treat yourselves to a sunset cruise on the Wahine Moa (seasonal). Alternatively enjoy an evening bbq on the deck, alfresco style.
At low tide you can walk from the wharf along the side of the harbour to Cox Bay and to Lorenzen Bay and further on around the bays. Access from the beach to streets is available at Cox Bay (stairs to Daisy St) and at Lorenzen Bay. The walk can be muddy in places so wear beach shoes or sneakers.
Hire a local kayak and paddle across to pancake rock (opposite side).
A ramp has been provided for ease of access upon entrance, plus handrail in toilet. Shower is all one level in bathroom (no step).
Occasionally from time to time downstairs apartment will be occupied however this will have no impact on your stay.
Cell phone coverage is sometimes intermittent.
