This newly renovated cottage in the heart of the South Island's high country is the perfect destination for those visiting our beautiful country or New Zealanders alike.
The cottage sits on our property, but further enough away from the main house to feel like you're in a world of your own.
Our nightly price includes a continental breakfast.
From Labour Weekend, through to the end of March, we run a gift, homewares and interiors shop on site.
Open hours are Saturday and Sunday 10am-5pm, and during the Christmas and New Year period it is open every day.
You are more than welcome to peruse the shop during your stay.
Foot traffic during these weekends is quite constant.
We are also opened everyday from Christmas to the second week in January.
Omarama is a small country town at the fork in the main roads taking you to Central Otago (Queenstown and Wanaka), down the Waitaki Valley and to the coast, or up to Mt Cook, Lake Tekapo and over to Christchurch.
It's small town living in Omarama, only 5 minutes walk from the cottage, with a handful of cafes, a hotel, small supermarket and two petrol stations.
We are opposite the Hottubs Omarama where you can enjoy a massage, facial or a hottub in fresh glacial water while soaking in the view of the rolling Omarama hills.
As gliding capital of the world, our place is just a few minutes walk to the airport.
No dogs allowed sorry.
Come in the winter and enjoy a spot of skiing either at Ohau Skifield, less than an hour away, or Round Hill about 1hour 30mins drive. Or stop off on your way to the Central Otago skifields.
Don't forget about us in the summer where our lakes and rivers are the lure for those wanting to get outdoors.
Omarama is surrounded by nature walks, including Clay Cliffs, ranging from 10 to 20 minutes drive.
My daughter Beckie and I run this together.
