Mahia is a beautiful place. Our bach is a beautiful bach. We've enjoyed it for 10 years, but now with a new baby, we aren't getting there as often as we would luckily - you get to enjoy it while we are stuck getting up at night and discussing different teet sizes.
This is a big spacey bach, with an upstairs containing a lounge and one bedroom - which opens out to the downstairs area where people spend most their time sitting around a large wooden table with bench seat in the kitchen area.
It's a very easy place to spend time due to the fully enclosed grounds, the magnificent kitchen, the large outdoor patio area and the big spacious lawns.
There's so much to do at Mahia from snorkelling, surfing, fishing, and betting on the TAB at the pub! You can even read a book on the beach if you so desire!
Great eating in walking distance down the road at the Mahia Cafe and over the other side at the Rocket cafe. Adventuring around the peninsula is fun, and there is a beautiful forest walk.
At the end of KUKU Avenue is the beach. Lovely flat, safe for kids beach - no rip, small waves at this part of the beach and huge area to play in, explore the driftwood etc.
Mahia gets a ridiculous amount of sun, but fear not, this house has some massive telephone poles installed around the deck so a shade area can be erected to suit.
Bore water for washing your car, wetsuits, boat, and surfboards. Rainwater for drinking, showers and of it too.
We love Mahia, and you will to. Welcome to paradise
