What a great little cottage, that had everything we needed for our memorable stay in Whatuwhiwhi. We were spoilt with the weather over Easter & found this an ideal little hideaway for exploring the Far North in day trips...and we attended a very special ANZAC service at the Karikari Community Hall just down the road experiencing amazing local hospitality. We were able to keep our kayak in the shed at the back when it wasn’t in use & loved the sunny decks front & back. We’ll definitely be back to this homely pad when going North again and grateful for truly relaxing holiday.
A true kiwi Bach
Cute, clean little bach that has everything you need (including an impressive oven).
Sweet little cottage .great location and well stocked with everything you need
Small, but clean, tidy and well located. Very happy
Thanks for choosing The Quaint Cottage for your mini family fishing adventure. It was a pleasure hosting you and we would happily have you come back again.
Cheep and adequate.
Key to shed with washing machine did..my work. Outside shower didn't work. No microwave or gas for bbq. As I only required a bed it didn't really matter.
I’m sorry the key for the shed was stiff, this has been fixed with a little CRC. The BBQ is on the back deck and the microwave on top of the fridge. Thank you choosing The Quaint Cottage for your stay on the peninsula.
Better than I expected, cute & cosy Bach
Good location, nice little view. Clean & tidy bathroom, lounge, kitchen & bedroom, well equipped. Friendly, respectful neighbours. Good sized flat lawn, fully fenced, plenty of room for a kids tent/boat etc. Two decks, outdoor seating, big washing line. Handy outdoor shed & fish filleting sink & tap outside. Short enough stroll to the local takeaways and convenience store.
Unfortunately the BBQ didn't work very well so we couldn't use it but that was the only downside to our stay, other than that we had a great stay in this classic little old style kiwi Bach and would love to stay again in the near future. Thanks heaps.
Located on the Karikari Peninsula, a great place to enjoy all the North has to offer. Coastal beaches, fishing, diving, all water sports or just relaxing in the sun.
Day trips to Cape Reianga, Shipwreck Bay, Kauri Kingdom, Matthews Car Museum, Hihi Whaleling Museum and so much more all on your doorstep.
Carrington Resort and Karikari Estate are just up the road making this a perfect place to stay for weddings and events.
