About Mark West
I've lived in Rotorua for ten years, working as a technician/scientist at the government Forest Research Institute (Scion). I love being outdoors, mountainbiking or walking in our beautiful forest or hiking further afield anywhere there are mountains. Before settling in Rotorua I spent some time living and travelling in Latin America.
Mark West purchased this House in 2008
Why Mark West chose Lynmore
I couldn't resist this house, with its timber interior and garden space which I've made into something I enjoy, and its proximity (200 metres away) to the forest. My workplace is just a short bikeride along the edge of the forest - what better commute could there be? There was space on the property to build a cottage for my parents, where they lived until they passed away, and where I live now. Lynmore is a sought-after suburb in a very attractive small city.
What makes this House unique
Fresh homemade bread and coffee beans delivered to your door, biking and walking trails a minute away, four very scenic lakes just a few kilometres' drive

Amazing hospitality great location and house.
We had an amazing stay and would recommend staying here, Mark took great care of us providing fresh bread and coffee beans daily and the house is in a great location and very tidy with plenty of fire wood for the fire 10 out of 10. Thanks again Mark we had a great stay.
Our stay in Rotorua was made all the better staying in Marks property it was close everything.
The best of the best.
Mark was an excellent host. His home is lovely. A special bonus was the delivery of coffee beans and delicious home-baked bread every morning of our stay. He even provided a tutoring session on use of the machine (as we were unsure how to use it). The property is close to everything you'd want to do or experience in Rotorua. As a suggestion, a handrail for the front steps would be helpful for those visitors who require extra stability.
Great spot for an active, or lazy, weekend
A really nice place to stay away from the hassle of Motel Alley. Quiet, comfortable and handy to Rotorua's greatest asset - the Redwoods. The freshly baked bread is a awesome bonus. Thanks Mark for another great long weekend.
Property had everything you would need for an enjoyable stay. Bread and coffee a real treat!
Great family bach
Lovely home with everything you need. Host was lovely n went above and beyond to help us out.
Lynmore is a quiet, green and sought-after suburb to the east of the main town centre, bordering on the renown Redwoods (a visitors' centre, many beautiful walking tracks and an aerial tree walk) and Whakarewarewa Forest (New Zealand's best mountainbiking trails). There are cafes and food outlets nearby, as well as an indoor entertainment centre.
