Enjoy a relaxing holiday at Lichfields Cottage in peaceful surroundings with spectacular scenery and award winning vineyards on your doorstep. Set on just over 6 acres with native bush, pond, swimming pool and tennis court, Lichfields is a tranquil place for a get away.

Please note that Lichfields is not available for events for more than six people and we do not allow parties on site.

We’re just a 30 minute drive from central Auckland and 40 minutes from Auckland airport.

Lichfields Cottage is perfect for a night or weekend away to visit vineyards in the Kumeu wine region, explore the local countryside and attractions or spend time at Muriwai beach. It is ideally located if you are visiting or getting married nearby.

On the Property:
Make the most of your stay here by swimming in the pool, playing a game of tennis, feeding the chickens or exploring the native bush! The kids can enjoy the trampoline, pool toys, kids books and toys. Portacot and highchair are also available upon request. Please note that the pool is only for use from November - April.

Continental breakfast items, all linen, towels and pool towels are included in the rate.

Bridal Package:
Getting married? Our bridal package includes late checkout (12pm), a bottle of bubbles, use of the grounds for photography, pick up from your wedding venue at the end of the night. We can also drop you at your wedding on weekend days. Please contact us for more information.

Perfect country getaway!

This was the perfect location for our family to stay while exploring the North Island- out of the city lights and noises. Easy access to highways, and great local coffee shops and restaurants close by. The home is on a beautiful property, 3 bedrooms to spread out in, cute backyard patio, basketball court (much to my boys' delight), and pool (although we didn't use much due to the season). The hosts were so friendly, and even did a load of laundry for us, with the washing machine being broken. Would highly recommend!

We are a family run business and enjoy spending time looking after our beautiful property, gardens and animals. Visiting Muriwai Beach is one of our favourite activities and it is just 12 minutes away from Lichfields Cottage.

Why they chose this property

This beautiful old villa was built in 1910 and relocated from Lichfield Street in Parnell in the 1980s. Past residents include John Key (former NZ prime minister). We fell in love with this property and enjoy the peaceful rural location.
