About this property

Double L Bach - Beautiful views

This well furnished and bright family Bach has great views across the lake with a spacious lounge area, four bedrooms and two outdoor dining areas. Great for a large family or two smaller ones this property is just minutes away from a quiet, sheltered spot on the lake or a short (6km) drive into Taupo town centre.

This is a great family sized home, ideal for two families and conveniently located in Acacia Bay. The house sits at the rear of a large section, perfect for backyard cricket or parking the cars, *boats and jet skis. This unique u shaped home is situated on one level and includes an open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area. There is an outdoor lake-facing balcony to enjoy the stunning views, as well as a sheltered patio located in between the rooms.

The kitchen has all the usual mod cons and there is a large family dining table and ample couches for everyone to watch the TV next to the gas fire. The bedrooms allow for the adults to have their own end of the house, with a bunk room for the kids to enjoy at the other end. Complete with a spacious family bathroom close to the bedrooms and an additional bathroom just off the kitchen.

The boat ramp is just a short drive away and there is a local dairy, restaurant and cafe back along Acacia Bay Road. Just along Mapara road, a short drive (or walk and earn that coffee!) to the renown L'Art Cafe and Gallery, a unique cafe and gallery that is set in a magical garden, complete with an outside mosaic living room.

*This home has a steep driveway which may not be suitable for large boats.

This is a classic Kiwi Bach as we know and love, it is a simple and affordable home being shared with you, made for families to enjoy and make lasting memories of Great Lake Taupo.
NOTE: Under Kiwi Bach tradition you are expected to: Bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels)or use our hire service. If you wish to add the linen hire of $15 per person please select this option when booking or let us know in the comments section.

Strictly no parties, a few quiet drinks is fine but you must be respectful of the property and its neighbours. As the home is elevated and near the Lake, noise can really travel so please keep this in mind as disruption to the neighbors will not be tolerated.
When making a request please ensure you have read the listing details and house rules carefully for suitability. Please include information on your group, what brings you to Taupo and who is travelling with you.

* *The room with the 2 king single beds is a walk through room between the living are and other bedrooms. The home is elevated and has steep external stairs for access which may not be suitable for everyone.

GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES
If we are notified of parties or illegal activity you will be evicted and are liable for any damages to the property. We have a strict no party policy (large groups, hens, stags etc.) and do not allow functions or large gatherings.
The guest named on the booking is responsible for the property for the duration of the stay and must take all reasonable care of the house. Respect for neighbours regarding noise and cars must be considered, we reserve the right to terminate the contract without refund if we receive complaints.
All guests are your responsibility so please take care and parental supervision is required for all children at all times, especially around stairs, balconies, water and fires. The holiday home is not to be used as a function venue, events or activity that involve a larger number of people than stated on the maximum occupancy.
All homes are privately owned, please treat them with respect and if an incident/damage happens, report it ASAP so it can be repaired or replaced. For damages be aware that your credit card will be charged for the repair or replacement plus a 10% handling fee.
All properties must be left reasonably clean and tidy, ensuring all furniture and appliances are returned to where they were on arrival. You will have paid a compulsory cleaning fee which covers a general service clean. If the property requires extra cleaning, you could be charged an additional $40.00 per hour for this.
If you use a BBQ it must be left clean, if not a $40.00 fee will be charged for cleaning.
ALL rubbish must be removed from throughout the property on your departure; failure to do this will result in a minimum charge of $40.00 for labour and council disposal fees. Some homes allow up to ONE bag of rubbish to be left as part of the clean fee, specific property instructions will be at the home for you.
The property must be left secure and safe upon your departure. Please check all windows, doors and appliances including heaters, electric blankets, elements, and sockets before you leave the property.

Looked a bit run down from outside but comfy, warm & spacious inside. Had everything we needed, thank you. I did leave a jacket behind on bedroom door, guess it's gone now!

Enjoyed our stay
The house was very clean and comfortable with room to spread out. Views from the deck were stunning. Access to the house not suitable for older people. The Lock box was very difficult to operate andwould not have been possible in the dark or low light.
