Bed linen and towels are provided, they are 100% cotton.

The property benefits from smart lighting and many of the lights are dimmable.

The property is about 200 years old, with three storeys, and steep staircases. Therefore it may not be suitable for elderly persons, or those with disabilities.

Missed out

Missed out on staying here as was called away to take care of family but my husband stayed here on his own while working in Hereford. He said everything was good and yes we should try and book again when I could travel with him. So for a more detailed review I'm sorry your going to have to wait until this happens

we had a wonderful short stay in this clean and well equipped house. There was everything we needed

The house is in a great location, close to the town with many cafes and plenty of places to eat. We loved the small individual shops that sold unique gifts and clothing. We were spoiled for choice for places to eat in the evening.

A Little Gem Of A Place

This listed town house has been refurbished to a very high standard. It is well equipped, comfortable and warm. Being close to the town centre we enjoyed walking from the front door to the shops, cafes etc and in general to explore Monmouth. It is also straight forward to get out of town into the beautiful surrounding countryside. Places close by which are all worth visiting include Symmonds Yat, Goodrich Castle, Kymin and the Forest of Dean. On street parking outside the property is limited but there is a car park close by which is free overnight (5pm to 9am) and the charges during the day are reasonable (£1.00 for 2 hours etc). The property's owner has provided a lot of useful information inside the house and is quick to respond to emails. Also his recommendations on places to visit and to eat (e.g. No7 Church Street) are well worth following. The only cautionary comment we would make is that due to the age and status of the property both flights of stairs (10 steps each) are steep although there are good rope hand rails. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our few days staying in this property after Christmas. Many thanks.

Immaculate little house in a perfect location...

Just returned from a four night stay in this lovely house. The house itself was perfect for us. Everything was exceptionally clean & the house had everything we needed. Really nice & cosy on some cold October days. And the location was perfect. We wandered into town for dinner out every night and had some great meals.

We were delighted to find this property in Monmouth. It was perfect for the four of us (2 adults and 2 kids) - beautifully clean, with a well-equipped kitchen, very comfy beds and a gorgeous bathroom. The owner provided some really useful information about the local area prior to our visit, and was extremely helpful with booking the house, giving directions, and so on. Highly recommended!
