Here you are guaranteed peace and tranquillity, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Kilcomane House, right on the waters edge, is a unique blend of traditional house with modern interior. It has TV, CD, DVD and a good old fashioned open fire. The hi-tech kitchen is a chef's dream, just a step away from the dining room, which seats 14 and has a spectacular view of Dunmanus Bay. The dining area opens to a large terrace, with a build-in stone barbeque.

Locally hand-crafted units with sleek granite worktops have build-in gas and electric hob and 2 dishwashers. The kitchen has freestanding stainless steel double oven and fridge freezer. Additional fridge / freezer, 2 washing machines and dryers in the pantry.

5 bedrooms, each with bathroom en-suite, 6th bedroom optional, sauna, tv, video, telephone and fax. The area of the house, which includes a separate self-contained apartment, is 320 sqm.

The price includes bed linen, towels and all other household linen, as well as fuel for open fires.
Change of bed linen by request, not included in the price.
Electricity, oil heating and telephone are all on meters and not included in the price Electricity = 25 cent per unit and Oil = 95 cent per unit- payable to the caretaker on site on departure.
€ 100.00 security deposit to cover loss or damage, breakages etc. payable on arrival - Due to the number of simultaneous departures, it will not be possible to cheek the houses at departure time, therefore the € 100.00 security will be refunded by post to the client if there is no loss or damage.
On departure, the house, equipment and utensils must be left in a clean and tidy condition.
No pets allowed.

This is a 5* property - we had such an amazing holiday (helped by the lovely weather - which cannot always be guaranteed!) The views and location are stunning and on a clear day you could just sit an stare out of the copious windows for hours. There was plenty of space for our extended family holiday of 10 adults and 2 children. Everything was thought of with excellent/ample bathrooms, linens, laundry, kitchen, crockery, glassware etc facilities - we were particularly impressed by the 2 dishwashers!!
I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay.
The only negative thing was that we were charged nearly €100 for fuel and wifi on exit which has never happened to me before - we always rent properties for summer holidays in the U.K. and all costs are included in the rental payment. It was shame as it ended the holiday on a slightly negative note and on your last day you don't always have €100 cash to hand. Otherwise it was a great holiday.
This home is modern and spacious. It has two clothes washers, two dryers and two dishwashers - very convenient and helpful! The conservatory is beautiful and seats 14. For the price, this is a very good deal for exploring Bantry and the surrounding areas. Be sure to check out the Farmers Market/Street Market in Bantry. They have everything - tasty food, fresh produce, bric-a-brac, Irish crafts, thrift store items, and even animals! It is not to be missed!
Kilcomine House was the perfect venue for our extended family to enjoy a week in West Cork.
The house surpassed all our expectations; it was spacious, comfortable, superbly well equipped and had magnificent views. There were lovely walks from the house, basking seals on the rocks in the bay and a little beach within walking distance.
Eileen, our caretaker could not have been more helpful and provided us with all we needed for 5 young children.
We would recommend ordering an online shop to be delivered on arrival day, a visit to Bantry market and Bantry House, Barleycove Beach and Schull harbour.
We also booked Clovis Ferguson of GubbeenGreens to come in and cook dinner for us adults.....highly recommended after long days on the beach and entertaining the grandchildren.
And the sun shone every single day, it was the best holiday we have ever had.
Wonderful house, everything you could possibly need is supplied. The most amazing views of Dunmanus bay. Beautiful sunsets. Watch seals on the rocks each morning as you eat breakfast. Warm welcome from Eileen on arrival. We did not want to leave!
