Yethouse is a large farmhouse with loads of space for friends and families to relax, unwind and recharge. Surrounded by stunning views and sitting in its own gardens makes it secure for dogs and children!
It has a large lounge with access to the garden and patio, TV, the library of books, CD's and DVD's as well as board games and a real fire. The parlour also has a TV and a real fire and is handy to offload the kids when you want some quiet time!
The large kitchen/diner is fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine/tumble dryer and large family fridge freezer. The electric range has 2 large ovens and is easy to use. The dining room next door can easily seat 8 in comfort and there are posh crocks to use if you are planning a special occasion - or book the caterers!
Bedrooms - the master has a king size bed with en-suite bathroom, roll top bath and shower. The Captains room can be a super king double plus 2 singles or all singles, it has use of the family bathroom. The Maids room, accessible via its own staircase, can be single or a super king double. It has use of the downstairs showroom. All linens and towels are provided. Please indicate how you wish your rooms to set up on your booking form.
Outside you will find mature gardens and stunning views, you can chase the sun around the house depending on the time of day. There is outdoor seating area and a BBQ provided as well as a secure lock up for bikes and rods. There is also bike wash, bring your own rags!
Yethouse has an activity centre as its neighbours,. There you can enjoy a full days activity. Choose from abseiling, the zip wire, swimming, rope walking, kyack, fence, water waltzer and loads more. Yethouse has a preferential deal for guests, provided with your booking. All activity must be booked in advance of your stay to avoid disappointment. The village has a pump track and skills area making the 7stanes mountain biking trails a real must to visit.
If all of that is too strenuous enjoy the beautiful walks in our forests and surrounding hillsides. Views are spectacular, on a clear day you can see the Solway to the Pentlands from Langholm Moor. We are surrounded by quiet roads making driving and road cycling a joy. Our local history can be studied at the village heritage centre, a trip to Hermitage Castle our local landmark is a must.
Kielder Water and Forest Park, and the Northumberland National Park neighbour our forest. There you will find even more walks and MTB and cycling trails as well as dark skies, osprey watch and birds of prey centre as well as water sports and boating.
Hadrian's wall is also well worth a day trip, the views and the experience of walking in ancient footsteps are truly memorable, the kids can join in Viking games and don armour if you pick the right places to go.
